I’m so sick of the MVP talk. It’s an irrelevant popularity contest. I almost hope Josh gets snubbed so he has that chip on the shoulder for the playoffs.

I would bet it goes to Lamar at this point.

Josh will have to have a great game this Sunday because Lamar just made two incredible back-to-back plays against a playoff team.

And it's supposed to be a steady rain all game. After 12 degrees the previous home game and a snow storm the one before that. None of that factors in to the MVP race though for some reason. Josh plays in the most difficult elements (wind/temperature/precipitation) more often than any other QB in the league.

IF he puts up big numbers.

Nah, Josh already has good enough numbers, has proven he’s the stud of the team with his MVP moments, and just needs to wrap up the 2 seed and better record than Lamar.  Enough of the voting contingent recognizes Lamar’s numbers are really good too and in many cases better than Josh, but Lamar also has a HOF RB in Henry to lean on while Josh is viewed as having lost key pieces heading into this year.   In general, voters going to give Josh his first MVP versus Lamar his third, with overall win/losses being the deciding factor.  I think Lamar actually should be considered for OPOY, depending on whether Saquon breaks the rushing record or not.

Why? Lamar isn’t putting up huge numbers so far this game

Im expecting a big push in the 2nd half whilst this Texans team starts running for the bus …

LJ is winning MVP.

Better stats than Josh, head to head over Josh and against the team Josh put up his worst statistical performance of the season against LJ is killing them!

Allen beat KC and DET

it could go to either player

Ravens have 5 losses

Lamar won last year with 29 TDs because Ravens were 1 seed

I disagree. If Josh doesn’t put together a big performance against the Jets it’s over. I’m talking a 25/30 275 yards 3td/0int…..10 rushes 75 yards 1-2 touchdown performance.

It’s all in Josh’s control imo. if he plays well in the last game/games where he starts he’ll win mvp.  Another game like last week and it’ll get uncomfortably close

Lamar won because Allen threw 18 pics, Lamar had like 7.

Watching the Chiefs dominate on Defense all year.

Watching the Ravens bludgeon teams with Henry and also have an elite Defense after a rocky start.

And here we are, with a Defensive Head Coach, and a team reliant on Josh Allen going nuclear to be where we are and will be needing him to be to go into battle against Lamar and hopefully Pat, with a worse Defense.

Hes so obviously the MVP.

And he’s going to need to be that plus some moving forward if we have any ideas of getting to the Super Bowl.

Allen lost the MVP last week, which sucks. Lamar’s numbers are way better.

And the boys buying him an MVP necklace looks silly AF now.

That's my fear. Jackson's performances against the Raiders and the Browns are way back for voters so they won't consider them. The average at best performance from Josh against the Pats on the other hand...

If he loses it it's because Jackson has been great. But also because he had an average game just when he couldn't afford one.
