I think Derrick Henry is going to have over 1700 yards rushing after today.. is that his best year ever?  He's a huge reason why Lamar is having great success.  Defenses can't just key on Jackson.   But again, just because Lamar is having a better statistical season than either of his MVP years, doesn't mean he automatically gets it.

You won't hear it publicly, but I do believe the voters want to spread the award around.  And the fact that Jackson has won his 2nd MVP just last year, and the Ravens record is likely to be worse than Buffalo, Philly, Detroit and KC, I doubt he gets the award.  For whatever reason, the TV sports shows are fawning over him lately especially after the NY Giants game.  I think Lamar got more love for that performance vs a crappy team on the same day than Allen got for winning at #1 seed Detroit.

If Josh gets passed over, I think it's going to Saquon or even Goff.

The MVP race was over after Allens performance from KC to Detroit.

Any other decision is basically a middle finger to Allen. And that's not sarcasm.

Demeco Ryans is also part of the silliness and it's embarrassing

Combined records of Detroit and Kansas City:

vs. Buffalo = 0-2

vs. Rest of League = 28-1

That has to matter to some voters out there.

This and the statistical dominance of #17 in those games. He dominated.

Lamar isn't even the MVP on his own team. That's Derrick Henry.

I watched that Steeler game last week and I came away thinking "Holy crap, Derrick Henry is a monster."

I didn't come away thinking "OMG, Lamar was amazing!"

He was OK, had an awful INT and threw to some wise open receivers...thanks to Henry.

What happened in the first game where Henry only got 65 yards against the Steelers? Lamar did nothing and only scored 14 points.

When Henry is contained, the Ravens lose. Sorry, that's not MVP worthy if you need a great running game to win games.

My gosh, lol,,,  RG3 said on the Netflix pregame show that if Jackson looks great today and gets a few TD's he locks up the MVP.  His reason is based on this being a game viewed worldwide and having better statistics across the board than Allen.    and the Bills have two blah games left against losing teams that few will see.

His reasoning is so lame... he's simply ignoring the teams records, the outstanding play of Allen all season, tremendous National TV games vs the #1 seeds, 11 game of 30+ points, etc.. All the games Allen sat early and didn't stat pad, etc..

No QB who has ever led his team to 30+ points in 8 straight games has not won MVP...it's happened 4 other times and all 4 times those QBs won MVP that year.

8 straight games and 11 games total of 30+..  that's sick production.

Josh Allen is my QB but LJ should get MVP again.

But why? Bills were supposed to be third in the division by many before the season, fighting for a playoff spot. Baltimore was supposed to be battling KC for the top spot in the AFC. So this tells me you are looking at nothing but stats

Stats and he has the head to head over Allen. 37 touchdown passes with 4 picks looks like MVP status to me!

I don’t think so.. Voters would love nothing better than a reason to vote for Lamar over Josh

Sunday will determine the MVP imo. Allen needs at least 4 total TD's. This has to be a blowout win with great stats.

You can't struggle against two bottom feeders while the other guy is elite against two playoff teams.

Here's another issue: The Bills win Sunday. OK. They got the two locked up. Lamar still needs to play and beat Cleveland. So....Allen could be resting while LJ is beating up on Cleveland.

8 straight games of 30+ points, 2-0 against the top teams in each conference, those teams are 16-1 against everyone else, Baltimore lost to 2 teams battling for the top pick in the draft. It’s not as if Lamar is leading the league in the major passing categories, they are just higher than Josh. And good job clarifying touchdown passes, because when you go to overall touchdowns all of a sudden Lamar doesn’t have a very big lead at all

If Allen plays well Sunday it’s most likely over.  Him sitting will not have a negative impact.

If Allen struggles against the Jets, his mvp chances are pretty much gone.

I'm a Bills fan. But you can't not be great against two bottom feeders.

It depends on how Lamar performs the rest of today and against Cleveland. Remember, Lamar has to play against Cleveland. They must win.

Both are deserving and either winning isn't a huge issue.

Most efficient offense in the NFL.
