Had a Giants fan friend texting me this week talking about how Lamar and his 34-3 should be the MVP.  Went on to say Jimbo only had 6 carries against the Rams and Allen is stat padding.

response was 1) Lamar needs to give back his MVP from last year. 2) 8-5 doesn't get it done. If you want the MVP, BEAT the BROWNS. 3) if you think Allen is stat padding, you are clearly not watching the games.

Thankfully, most of the country was watching the Bills in the past two weeks so they now see what we see and are able to look even beyond an already great stat line.

THANK YOU MAD DOG ON FIRST TAKE!! You can't criticize Josh for not getting to Super Bowl. Josh played GREAT against Mahomes in both playoff games to only lose because of coaching and missed FG.

The girl on that show is awful. So butthurt that Josh is better than Lamar.

Ask your friend if he thinks lost fumbles count as turnovers. If so, he has more turnovers than Allen.

There are plenty of media heavily in Josh Allen's corner for MVP,,, Acho, Greeny, Orlovsky, Chase Daniel, Rex, etc.

Josh was the overwhelming MVP favorite going into the Detroit weekend... and everyone wanted to see him have another big game worthy of MVP status, and a WIN to solidify his standing.  He overperformed on everything and got the win.  Yet somehow, after a nice game over the hapless Giants,  all I'm hearing this week is Lamar is very much alive and based on his stats should be MVP.  They are really arguing that on some of the shows this week. Am I missing something?  Why all this push to get Lamar his 3rd?  He's having a great season, better numbers certainly than last year.  But overall,  when you add everything up  (Bills record, who they beat, 11-  30+ point games, etc..)  how is this a conversation?    I can only assume this MVP talk is for show content and you can't have everyone agree on Allen.  That would make for a boring national show.

Hopefully Lamar loses to the Steelers and the nonsense stops.

If Allen, or even someone other than Lamar (Saquon?), wins the MVP this year that’s fine I guess. I can accept that.

But if they do in fact give it to Lamar again then there needs to fundamentally be an investigation into the voting process and it’s members.

Every single vote should have transparency from this year and last and an explanation as to why, if Lamar does win, they voted for him.

Josh had a better stat line and had the Bills only 2 games behind as the #2 seed.

Lamar, whilst I agree has the more efficient stat line this year can’t walk away with it over even Jalen Hurts, Goff, Saquon and Josh. Not when the way it panned out last year.

Curious what people behind Lamar with that stats have to say about last years MVP and the stats for Josh when coupled with the Bills record against that of Lamar and the Ravens this year.

Someone was telling me the other day they think Allen likes to gain rushing yards and score at the expense of his teammates too.  I think it’s a ridiculous take.  First, outside of the red zone, Josh generally only runs to help get the 1st down we really need it.  In the red zone, if the easiest path to score is for Josh to run it in, what’s wrong with that?  For anyone that has a problem with it, how about stop him then?

When we’re in tight games and every first down and score matter, I don’t care if Josh is doing the scoring or someone else.  And I’m pretty sure Josh doesn’t care either.  Not to mention, he’s not calling the plays either.

I think Baltimore will win this one.  Which actually will benefit the Bills because it will force the Steelers to have to play with max effort against KC on Christmas day.

So a Ravens 13-10 win would not be a bad thing :)

I think this criticism could be debated a couple years ago when he wouldn't check down and distribute the ball but no longer.

Probably just trying to minimize how truly awful the giants looked against him 😂

the 34-3 argument doesn’t put him head and shoulders above Josh’s td-turnover output idk why people keep getting caught up in that.  I haven’t looked at it in a little bit so I might be slightly off here but I believe they have the same amount of total tds and Lamar actually has one more total turnover.  He’s got 5 lost fumbles I think to Josh’s 2

This guy is also the loud mouth in the locker room in my gym down here in the Pittsburgh area, so I think he’s actually just jealous of our QB.

This just the list of 2024 accompished and/or extended

Josh Allen's NFL records

Records Josh Allen has accomplished or extended in 2024

  2. First player in NFL history to record multiple career games of 340+ yards passing, 60+ yards rushing, 2+ passing touchdowns and 2+ rushing touchdowns. Allen has done it in back-to-back weeks, Dec. 15, 2024 at Detroit and Dec. 8, 2024 at Los Angeles Rams. Steve Young is the only other player to accomplish the stat line and he did it once in 1991.
  3. First quarterback in league history to record a passing, rushing and receiving touchdown in a game (Dec. 1, 2024 vs. San Francisco).
  4. First player in NFL history with at least two touchdown passes and two rushing touchdowns in consecutive games, and the first player all-time with three such games in a season.

  10. Most games in NFL history with at least 300 yards passing and 50 yards rushing (11).
  11. First player in league history with 35 or more passing and rushing touchdowns in five straight seasons (2000-2024).
  12. Only quarterback in NFL history with multiple streaks of five-plus games with a rushing touchdown.
  13. First player record at least 25 passing touchdowns and at least 10 rushing touchdowns in consecutive seasons. Kyler Murray and Cam Newton are the only others to accomplish the feat in one season.
  14. Most career games with two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown (24).

I mean now Allen has college coaches trying to emulate him...

UNLV does a chest pass on a fake punt after special teams coach probably watched Allen against the Lions last Sunday...

Ha, probably harder for a punter to screw up a chest pass than a traditional one handed throw. Kind of like granny style free throws.

ESPN this morning had a discussion on "Fact or Fiction"  does Josh Allen have he MVP locked up?   Two of the three guys says no.  Lamar and Saquon are coming hard and could take it over the final few games.   I'm not sure why the narrative has changed so much.  Can you imagine if Lamar did what Allen did vs KC, SF, LA and Detroit?  They would have closed the voting already.

Meanwhile last season, they didn't even count the final game, I think they anointed Lamar after the 49ers game in week 16.

yeah right whatever GIF

In all seriousness, I think it was on the Facility just yesterday, the debate was really if the Bills just beat the Pats, that will keep Josh on top.  Most said Josh doesn’t even need to have spectacular numbers, including Acho who is a voter.  These shows just need something to talk about that will attract viewers.

Ask him if he realizes that Allen has almost 100 more tds than Lamar from 2020-2024 in the regular season and playoffs.... A frickin 100....

Allen has more passing touchdowns than Lamar has total tds in his career....

Allen has already tied Jim Kelly in playoff passing touchdowns and surpassed Phillip Rivers in playoff PASSING tds

If you took away Allen's best playoff game

Allen still has more playoff tds than Lamar burrow Herbert and Lawrence COMBINED

From 2020-23 Allen had more tds than anyone in any 4 year span ever, EVER in NFL history

More than

Jim Brown

Dan Fouts

Marino

Peyton Manning

More than anyone ever

He didn't get MVP.

And now with his 5th straight 40 TD season ( nobody has ever had more than 3) Allen not getting MVP would be a pretty disgraceful and disgusting level of purposeful neglect

So… what’s at play here with people like Cam?

Purely for tv or other motives?

Because Cam is either lazy or purposefully uneducated with his takes on Allen.

He puts him as elite with Mahomes, Burrow and Lamar, but some of this stuff, from people like him, comes off personal.  This is a pattern with him now.

If Allen doesn't get it this year, it's a pretty disgraceful message that the AP is telling you. In other words we're never going to give Allen an MVP accolade.

I honestly don't care , I mean I care but let the media embarrass themselves.

When Allen wins the Superbowl it won't matter
