What a complete nonsense post.  Explain Lamar's stats in the link below vs Pitt this year.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/202411170pit.htm

That was his worst game if the year by far, his 2nd 3rd and 4th worst games he posted a passer rating of 81.4, 90.8 and 92.8 respectively.

Ended the season at 119.6, 4th best all time.

Even pointing to outliers his whole season was historic.

So give the MVP to the  "best stats" and dont have people vote on it.  Lamar had a great year I am not disputing that in any way.

They are both deserving. Lamar has had a FANTASTIC season. Josh has had a FANTASTIC season.

My argument for Josh is two fold. One, he led his team to the 2nd seed in the AFC despite the horrendous defensive performances we have seen. We have the 2nd worst 3rd down defense in the league. Lamar has the better defense on his side, and his team still came up with less wins. Josh led his team to victories over both #1 seeds in the Playoffs, absolutely shining in both performances.

Two, Josh put up almost 4,300 total yards and 41 total TD's without a single 1,000 yard WR and Cook just barely scraping past 1,000. We have the most prolific scoring offense since the Pats in '07. He's doing all of this with no #1 WR. These guys are a couple of #2 (yes, I see Cooper as a 2 at this stage. A guy who also came in multiple games into the season). We have a couple of solid slot guys in Shakir and Samuel (with Samuel being the lesser of the two). Then some 3rd and 4th men up on any other team. All of these guys are playing meaningful snaps here, and Josh is making them look better than anyone else could.

The problem I have with all of the so called "sports media" 🤡's is last year Josh had superior stats, turnovers or not. Josh was better all the way around. The argument from those dorks last year was team record. That's all you heard was team record and turnovers. This year Josh has lesser weaponry, has less turnovers as a whole, his team has a better record, he beat the two best teams from each conference, but now the 🤡's argue it's about the stats. It's all stats, stats, stats. Lamar is disrespected and underappreciated. Josh would only get the award because people are tired of voting for Lamar. Lamar is MJ. Josh is Charles Barkley. It's stupid. It's shallow. It shows their bias.

That's where I am but I'm resigned to it now. All hail Lamar. Josh is just lucky to be mentioned in the same breath as him.

My favorite thing about Allen is how he turns weaknesses into strengths. During the pre-draft process and the beginning of his career, he was never going to be accurate enough. Then he got the rap that he's great but, my god what about the turnovers. He proceeds to lead the team to have the least turnovers EVER in a single year.

The narratives are irrelevant, the MVP is mostly irrelevant, we're just damn lucky that this guy is the QB of the Bills and he gives us a great shot at being the last team standing. There's always some nervousness when we get to playoff time, but the confidence that comes from knowing that Allen is the one clocking in at QB means he's the MVP in my estimation. I'm sure Chiefs fans and Ravens fans feel the same way about their situations.

Ravens fans shouldn't be confident because Jackson tends to fade in the play offs. But he's got the talent so this year could be different.

Nothing would be better than sending the Ravens home next week and Allen thoroughly outplaying Lamar leaving no doubt who is the better QB if both teams advance to the divisional round. Hope Flowers is back too as I want no excuses from Raven’s fans.

Seems like the media will find something to nitpick when it comes to Allen so whether he wins regular season MVP or not. Here is hoping he finishes career with at least 1 Super Bowl win to cement his status as one of the best to do it before it is over.

Lamar has had an absolutely unbelievable season.  If he wins MVP I can’t be mad at that at all.

That being said, 2023 Chugga is going to be LIVID.

Last year I thought Josh should have won the MVP.  He did everything you’re told to do.  Have the numbers, finish the season incredibly strong, and have one of the top 2 teams in the conference.  He did it all.  But he lost.

And we were all told yeah all that stuff above is nice but at the end of the day it’s really about wins and doing more with less - also cut down on the turnovers.  Ok I’m not happy, but I get it.

This year Josh loses WR1 & WR2 and Lamar gains a HOF RB.  More with less?  Josh essentially all but eliminates his turnovers.  Then Josh wins more games and has quality wins over the two best teams in the league.

So by what I’ve been told and based on the metrics we were told were being used, Josh is the MVP.

It needs to make sense

Worry less about mvp Lamar and more about playoff Lamar. You have a game in 7 hours

Most of the sports media people are talkin up Josh which is why the odds are what they are. He’s gonna win it…the beating both 1 seeds with lesser players argument is just way too strong. If Lamar had the season he had without Derrick Henry then it’d be a tossup probably but Henry absolutely went off. You can’t really have two mvps on one team…each guy hurts the stock of the other. The bills do not have that problem at all lol

it won’t be unanimous by any means but josh is getting it.  Nobody comes back from how far behind Lamar is in the odds right now

But the odds flipped. Lamar is the favorite now & Josh is sitting at +200

If Lamar loses today and has one of those 150 yd 2 int games the embarrassment will be palpable. Yet he'll still have more accolades than mahomes and Montana 😂

That's like next level pure North Korea style gaslighting and propaganda. Like end of the Saddam regime levels of delusional grandeur

It's wild

I only hear a couple of bobbleheads saying Josh deserves it. A majority of the ones I have seen are all pro-Lamar. You underestimate the narratives the loudest ones, and the companies they work for, push.

Is that at every sportsbook? It’s so annoying trying to track because player award bets are illegal in ny.

I don't even hate Lamar, fantastic player. And just being honest as a sports fan I hope he's great today. If he's not and they lose its just more patronizing to him as a professional athlete and it's not fair to him imo. Im not even kidding that I'll feel bad for him.

It's completely inappropriate what the media is doing.

Let Lamar play great in the playoffs and win a championship and then you can shower him with accolades and praise.

The embarrassment is going to palpable today if he loses. And it's honestly not his fault. I blame the media.

Steve Smith on NFLN

Quote

(Lamar) is the standard this year. There's no one better. Josh Allen has had a great job, a remarkable job... over the last 4 weeks. However Lamar Jackson has been playing outstanding football ALL season long. It's not the sprint, it's what Lamar Jackson has been doing which is winning the whole marathon.

I don't even know where to start with how willfully incorrect all of that is. "All season long" was 8-5 at one point, was it not? Who's been out there padding in the 4th quarter up 30 points in the "last 4 week sprint" and who's been sitting games and running preseason game plans after having clinched all the things?

On NFL network, they are combining Lamar Jackson’s and Josh Allen’s playoff record In talking about them.

they don’t really mention that Allen has the better playoff record and has historically some of the best playoff stats ever.

It really is North Korea level gaslighting
