I don't track any specific books, but all-over social media, they're saying that the odds flipped back into Allen's favor.  That says Vegas knows.

If I were a conspiracy guy, I would suspect that the league is worried about the increasing grumbling that the KC-Buffalo game was rigged, and to quell it is now twisting arms to swing the MVP vote to Allen. Throw 'em a bone to shut 'em up.

I’ll take the bone if they throw it. lol.

We do know of at least a couple voters  (Peter King among them), that said they differentiate MVP from First Team All Pro. We don’t know how many others behind the scenes feel that way but it probably needs to be at least 6.

Realistically All pro is a stat based award given to usually the best statistical quarterback

MVP obviously takes stats into question but the criteria of importance to your team and record is also weighed compared to just the statistics

You do realize the voting was tabulated and closed at the end o f the regular season….. I could care less about the award and I’d bet Josh doesn’t care all that much either

Josh definitely deserves to win this award a couple times but Lamar had an historic regular season. It’s too bad last year Josh didn’t win it. That was truly an up for grabs season for MVP and Josh should’ve won.

Josh will be the favorite next year and probably the next 3 years after. He’ll get a couple of them before his career is over. Hopefully that’s not his greatest accomplishment.

I think Josh cares.  He's human.  I would care.  That former MVP label will follow you the rest of your life.  It would be a shocker if Lamar didn't win it but I'd be ecstatic for Josh if he did.

Vegas odds show Josh as a pretty heavy favorite now.

The way so much the NFL seems to be "massaged" I wouldn't be completely surprised if the MVP vote was steered based on the outcome of the Ravens-Bills play off game. "If the Ravens win give my five points to Lamar, if the Bills win then give them to Josh." The wait is ludicrous. There doesn't seem to be a reason why the MVP can't be revealed before the wildcard round.

Money and logistics.  They can do an award show in the SB hosting city a few days before the SB instead, where the nominees and winners are also able to attend.

I wouldn't hold my breath that Allen ever wins MVP. A group of the voters can't get over being wrong about their take that he would be a bust when drafted. They're biased. Last year stats didn't matter it was based on who's team was doing better, then this year it's about stats. They change the rules to fit their excuse. Completely illegitimate award. There needs to be some set standards to point to they have to follow every year & transparency. But the NFL doesn't do standards or transparency. NFL is as rigged as WWE. Let's go win the SB instead.

I’d heard Peter King may no longer be an official MVP voter this season, but I’ve got at least 3 out of the 32 non-Allen 1st team all-pro QB voters indicating they will vote for Allen as MVP (Acho, Craig, Judge).  I believe all three had shared their all-pro ballots which indicated Lamar as their 1st team all-pro QB vote, yet have all given indications they were going to vote Allen as MVP.  Given that Lamar had 30 1st place and 13 2nd place all-pro votes, while Allen had 18 1st place and 24 2nd place votes, he’s likely going to need at least 7 MVP “flippers”, so four more beyond the ones noted.  As most all-pro voters did not share their ballots to my knowledge, it’s hard to say who else are the potential “flips”, but given a few who did share their all-pro ballots are likely flips, seems like Josh has a shot still.

I don’t think there’s any conspiracy against Josh. But you know what’s crazy and no one talks about it? Last years voting. All we talk about is Josh should’ve won over Lamar but we never talk about how Dak Prescott and Brock Purdy were also ahead of Allen in MVP voting last year.

It probably should’ve gone to McCaffery last year but I can’t believe Prescott and Purdy got more votes than Allen as well.

NFL Honors tonight (Feb. 6) at on Fox and NFL Network!!

QB Josh Allen (AP Most Valuable Player)

LT Dion Dawkins (Walter Payton Man of the Year)

S Damar Hamlin (AP Comeback Player of the Year)

The HOF class is also announced tonight. What does everyone think about Eli. Some say he should make it others say no. He did help the Giants win 2 Super Bowls and did against the evil empire twice.

I think he has to get in. Doesn’t mean he has to get in first ballot though…

While true, Allen was the only player aside from Lamar who received a 1st place vote.

I still rank Allen 2nd in MVP voting last year because I’m not putting players ahead of him because they got more 2nd and 3rd place votes, not a single voter thought anyone other than Lamar or Allen were the MVP.

I just think the ranked voting is lame.

Don't believe much in betting odds to determine outcomes.  Betting money placement ultimately determines odds. If as a collective group betters were smart  Las Vegas, Draft Kings etc wouldn't exist.

Betting odds have been correct in predicting the MVP at the end of the season 100% of the time historically. This will be the first time ever they were wrong. It’s kind of baffling really.
