I wouldn't say he played ay MVP level but he did what needed to be done. On the other hand, Lamar played himself out of consideration. According to the announcers last night, the MVP votes were sent in a bit over a week ago .. Quote

And also he didn't have his #1 receiving weapon so we shouldn't hold his "two boo-boos" (Direct quote I kid you not) against him. It'd be hilarious if it wasn't so obvious. 2 Quote
Charles Romes Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago If the QBs games were reversed, we would be hearing endlessly about how Allen had two careless turnovers and that’s why he’s not a great clutch QB. As for the two point conversion, we would be hearing about how the pass could have and should have been better, especially given the slippery conditions and that the pass was going to target that had a brutal drop earlier in the game and who was just fumbled earlier in the fourth quarter. On the podium after the game, Allen would be telling everyone that his 2 point conversion pass needs to be better in that situation. 2 4 Quote

In the meantime, let’s just turn that slander towards Andrews instead lol. Funny how Lamar’s fumbling problem just seems to get ignored all season long, including for the MVP discussion and in last night’s game as well. Quote

Everything he said in the 2nd video from last January about what we "don't say" about Lamar, is exactly what he's saying now about Lamar. To be fair, he also posted this last night, but it's really just hedging because he knows he's full of *****: Edited 20 hours ago by Punch Quote
HappyDays Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Here's an interesting question - if yesterday had been the Super Bowl, who on the Bills would have been Super Bowl MVP? No one single player stands out in my mind. I wonder if Allen would get it just by default. Quote

May Day 10 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I find it interesting that so many media members are boosting up Lamar's performance, and basically making it look like he did no wrong and the team let him down. If this were Allen, they would be taking a torch to him, talking about how he can't get it done, etc. Wild double-standard with Jackson. 3rd MVP coming too. I can't fathom that guy (while he is very good) having won 3 MVPs and never even making a Conference Championship game. Shouldnt have gotten MVP last season, should not get it this season (Derrick Henry is arguably as valuable, and a lot of his stats are compiler stats with Allen missing like 3 games worth of action because of blowouts). 2 1 Quote
Saint Doug Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I’m fine either way. Lamar can have the MVP and we’ll take the win last night. 1 Quote

No one on D and no one else on O. 1 Quote

If there were 3 stars of the game like hockey I think it would be: 1. Allen 2. Lamar 3. Bernard Quote

If there were 3 stars of the game like hockey I think it would be: 1. Allen 2. Lamar 3. Bernard The joke of it is that Lamar still got a passer rating of 114.4 and QBR of 85.8, whereas Josh 86.7 and 71.1. So Josh has zero turnovers, runs it in for two TDs, and wins the game, while Lamar has two horrible turnovers, yet the formula for these things gives Lamar such high ratings? And yet many MVP and All-Pro voters base their votes on dumb stats like those. This is a prime example why voters can’t just look at stats when determining who the more valuable player is. 1 Quote
zow2 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Well, if anyone had told me they could either win MVP or win that game last night, i’d take the game. MVP is whatever at this point. The ESPN faction of voters likely swung it to Lamar. CBS affiliated voters held firm with Allen. The rest will be a mix. Quote

Bernard maybe? or Allen by default with the two TD’s and more importantly zero turnovers compared to his counterpart on the other side. Quote

Allen because he scored 2 out of the 3 Bills TD's and was instrumental in enabling the Bills to score the other TD by converting a 3rd & 8 with a great 35 yard throw and converting a 4th & 2 with his legs on the drive that got the Bills their 1st TD.
