The selections don’t have the same criteria. Yea, i fully expect the AP All-Pro nods to go to Jackson (1st team) and Burrow (2nd team) as a consolation prize for not winning MVP and acknowledgement they had fantastic seasons. AllenMania Posted January 8 Posted January 8 (edited) All three of them picked Lamar as their MVP. One of them was apparently a little influenced by Week 18 which makes no sense whatsoever. There is literally no context to these stats discussions. Team wins has completely disappeared from the conversation this year. Wonder why. Dan Orlovsky said something along the lines of "if we want the MVP to just be about stats, let the computer decide". Also wanted to share Michael Irvin going with Josh Allen and questioning why last year stats were good to win MVP but not this year. Edited January 8 by AllenMania 1 Quote

zow2 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 The votes are in. It's over now and all the pundits opinions speaking on TV and social media means nothing. Josh is your MVP and hopefully he makes all the voters look good and has a great playoffs (defense too!) 1 Quote

If you notice I haven't commented but once or twice before that post on it. It's just always there. I was speaking more on it being unable to escape the chatter about it anywhere. Social media, weekly shows, heck even the broadcast of the game. Funny thing is even though I believe voting closes this week and it's a done deal...we will have to listen to it continue to be debated without the ability to change anything for another month 1 Quote

ChronicAndKnuckles Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Allen is going to get screwed out of the MVP because of Lamar having the better stats. Even though the argument we are using for Allen is the same argument Ravens fans used last year when Allen had 15 more TDs. We all know why Allen keeps getting snubbed, but people are too afraid to say it. 1 1 Quote

Doc Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Polymarket has Josh at 80% right now, the highest I’ve seen it since I started following it a few weeks ago. It did dip and Lamar’s rose after this past weekend. 1 Quote

No QB has ever won a 3rd MVP before winning a super bowl in NFL history No QB who was -200 or more in the past 20 years in the final 2 weeks has lost MVP Allen is currently -470 I think. Broussaard and Nick the troll Wright already said he is going to win. Orlovsky already said the obvious. He set a record for tds and points in team history and has the lowest negative plays in NFL history. The MVP ap voters are heavy on negative plays, turnovers. Allen had the highest differential in tds to turnovers in NFL history Lamar added a hof player and lost more Allen lost diggs and Davis and won more, scored more points and had less turnovers than Lamar lol He's going to win it almost unanimously. Lamar will get 4-8 votes Everyone still debating it is just to get clicks / create content Edited January 9 by Kelly to Allen 3 Quote
