Barkley is going to break the rushing record.  I bet he gets some MVP votes.  It won't be unanimous like last year 50-1.  Barkley has only scored 2 TDs in his last four games, I think that should matter.  RB's obviously don't touch the ball nearly as much as QBs.

They take far more of a beating though.

Saquon isn't going to win MVP and may not win offensive player of the year either.  A real shame, but this is a special year.

I'm very glad he broke 2,000 yards in 16 games though.  That's big time!

I think if Allen doesn't win the MVP it will actually help the team in the playoffs. They are better with a chip on their shoulders, like most teams.

It doesn’t get announced until SB week I believe … so it could provide a lot of motivation headed into the big game if he misses out

Well it'd be for the Super Bowl considering when they announce it, but sure I'd take the boost but we got to get ourselves in position for it.

Josh has another 3 TD's, the Bills lock up the #2 seed, and he has another 3 or 4 "only Josh Allen" type of plays. There's nothing left to prove. If they don't give it to him? Whatever.

Keep in mind,  after Lamar beat SF late last season he was the -160 favorite and McCaffrey was next at +325

And in 2023 when Buffalo was scratching and clawing to win their last game at Miami,  the Ravens were sitting back, resting Lamar the final game vs Pittsburgh.

-350 for Josh to +250 for Lamar is a massive gap.  The voters know Allen doesn't need to play at NE.  He should sit, and if Lamar puts up 5 TDs so be it.

He's going to win it but there will be A LOT of "Lamar was better talk" the next couple of weeks, so they'll still have plenty of motivation.

Yeah and then Lamar will probably get eliminated in the Wildcard in hilarious fashion and they'll all shut up.

And there were a lot of ‘Lamar was worse’ talks last year from a few different fanbases. That’s always gonna happen

If he didn't do in 14 like OJ, it's irrelevant. Exactly what Dickerson said about it.

That doesn't include the incredible passes his receivers dropped or that got called back by penalty, like the dime to Coleman, the falling down perfect pass, and the later Coleman drop.

I saw Ravens fans talking online about how the fact that Jackson already has 2 shouldn't matter.

Please. It absolutely should when the stats are close like they are.  The MVP is an award that should encompass a variety of factors - stats, record, seeding, previous awards, and most importantly - how valuable you are to your team.  Jackson has a better team around him, and that's really not disputable.

Jackson is not even the MVP on his own team. Anyone who watches those games and sees the difference in how Lamar looks when Henry has 90+ yards and when he doesn't clearly sees that He ry is the key to that team.

Lamar is 2-5 when Henry has less than 90 yards.

Allen is 8-3 when Cook has under 90 yards.

That pretty much tells the whole story. Allen is unstoppable all on his own, Lamar needs help.

Saquon coming back from being nearly dismissed a few years ago - I remember hearing even what could have been talk - after being so insanely hyped, and then hitting 2k now is an insane arc. Can’t think of anything like it. Dickerson hit his 2k in his second year when he was fresh prime for example.

The fact that Josh won more games and put up a statistically similar season to Lamar with the weapons he had is absolutely ridiculous. I don’t even think the mvp is even close

Yep. Also probably played 3 quarters less than Lamar due to being pulled in the 4th a lot.

And has played in 2-3 bad weather games, where I don't think Lamar has even played in one

He will win offensive player of the year I think.  They will co MVP this year Allen and Lamar
