Mikie2times Posted yesterday at 01:38 AM Posted yesterday at 01:38 AM Josh is still a pretty decisive favorite according to oddsmakers. It would take an epic performance on Christmas day to change anything. Quote

zow2 Posted yesterday at 01:51 AM Posted yesterday at 01:51 AM As of tonight on BetMGM the odds are: Josh -500 Lamar +350 Saquon +1400 Goff +2500 Mahomes +10000 Darnold +10000 Like others have said, still a sizeable gap between Allen and Lamar. He could eat into it vs Houston on Wednesday. Texans suffered some tough injuries and i think their LB that hit Trevor Lawrence still has to sit out this game, unfortunately. Allen should play better this week vs Jets. The Bills were sloppy and McDermott hates that. I think they will come out and play well, maintain the 2 game lead over Baltimore and that should do it. Let’s not choke this award away. 2 1 1 1 Quote

There's a viable argument for the starter and two reserves for the AFC to be Josh, Jackson and Burrow. Josh will get left out again. Like last year. 1 1 Quote
Goin Breakdown Posted yesterday at 04:36 AM Posted yesterday at 04:36 AM I'm beginning to hate this MVP talk. It's enough t to worry about the playoffs and SB. Yeah I'd love it for Josh but worrying about dropped passes and stats is just too much sometimes. 2 Quote

Can’t wait for it to be decided with soon enough. 1 Quote
Kelly to Allen Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago The foundational question the writers need to ask themselves is are they comfortable giving Lamar 3 MVPs in this era and Allen zero.... To me that's absurd, but maybe ppl feel differently. That doesn't make any sense in any universe. 1 Quote

Josh Allen was the number one graded QB from the pocket last year according to pff. Allen has had dozens and dozens of games where he just dices teams up from the pocket. In his perfect game last year vs Miami in week 4, he barely ran or left the pocket. Nick wright does realize Allen and Mahomes are Doppelgangers of each other right??? This point aside, I think there’s lot of valid reasons that Josh has earned it this season anyway. One thing he does that isn’t necessarily reflected in the stat sheet but impacts the W/L column are those 1 yard runs to keep drives moving. Not sure how much Lamar is similar from that or not. But to the extent voters have valued wins over stats alone in the past (ie Lamar over Josh last year), one more reason why 12-3 Josh gets the edge over 10-5 Lamar, in my book. 1 Quote

What he really wants is a Super Bowl win and an MVP performance in that game and the playoffs getting there. 1 Quote

An even more fundamental question these people need to ask themselves is what would Baltimore's record be if Jackson didn't play this year? Then compare that record to what the Bills record would be if Allen didn't play this season. That would decide things real quick IMO. Quote

I fully expect Allen to not make the pro bowl. As long as players and coaches are the ones voting, Lamar and Mahomes are locks every year for the rest of their careers regardless of stats. 1 Quote

That said, his easiest path to finishing it off right now is just making sure the Bills get the 2 seed or potentially better still. And I’m sure winning the SB would trump any bonus of winning regular season MVP aware. Quote
