I think if Lamar plays great Christmas day he'll win the MVP.  I have no faith in Houston's defense either.  It just sucks that Allen played his second worst game of the year at the most inopportune time.

Having watched the all-22 back he really wasn't bad at all. Just less Superman plays than we've seen in recent weeks which to me seemed intentional. Whenever the Pats got into man our guys were completely locked down. There were only a couple plays at most where I thought he just flat out missed a read or a throw. Honestly Coleman may have been the best separator of all of them in man coverage but Allen didn't look his way too often.

I don't think the MVP voters are going to look at the all-22.  Lol.  I just said it was the second worst game of Josh's season because he's been so good this year.

I agree, very bad timing to lay an egg. I think it would be a huge injustice for Allen to never win a trophy or award, so really hoping he at least gets an MVP.

I haven't had a chance to look myself.  What happened on the interception.  Did coleman get tangled up and fall down?  Was the throw a few yards short?

Seemed like Josh was giving him a chance with his size and hoping for a catch or a penalty.

One DB fought him to the back of the endzone while Keon did try to work back. Somehow no DPI. At the same time I think the weather played a small part in killing the distance a degree akin to how the kickers were struggling to get distance.

Here's the play:

Not much to say, the play was dead on arrival and like Dan Orlovsky says Allen just threw one out there because there's nothing to lose. Coleman does beat his man which is good to see but Allen is moved off his spot by pressure before the routes develop.

Incorrect / if Shakir catches the two balls he dropped we score 31-34 points with 1-2 more td passes. Shakir never drops those balls but He did yesterday

Anyone thinks there’s a chance that Josh wins MVP, while Lamar wins OPOY?  Lamar is putting up some incredible stats this season, although arguably not as valuable to his team as Josh.  As a consolation prize, could Lamar beat Saquon out for OPOY?

Pry not.  That usually goes to a RB or WR.  My guess is it will be Barkley.

Lamar will be 1st Team All Pro over Josh.

Jackson probably deserves MVP more this year than the other 2x he won.

But he has 2 already.  Pretty sure voters take that into account. Should he have 3 & Allen none?  That would seem pretty off.

The MVP was won at Detroit, just win the last 3 regardless of stats against the Pats and Jets(unlike Lamar losing to Browns and Raiders) and finish 14-3 and it’s a lock

I did wonder whether Mahomes might miss out on the Pro Bowl this year. There's a viable argument for the starter and two reserves for the AFC to be Josh, Jackson and Burrow.

It's a popularity contest.

Mahomes could take a dump in the middle of the field, and still get a nod to the Pro Bowl.

Yep, i’ve read other teams fan boards and media takes and there are many who say Lamar is worthy but the award needs to be spread around.  I still think Allen should win on merit…doing more with less, 11 games of 30+ points, beating the best AFC and NFC team while putting up great numbers…and all the records and splash plays in prime time.

The voters know they awarded Lamar a bit of a gift last season.  Dak, Josh, CMC, Purdy, all could’ve won it.

Am I the only Bills fan who thinks Allen losing the MVP to Lamar would be a good thing and bring out the Incredible Hulk if there is a divisional showdown?

I know what you mean - but I'm pretty sure we wouldn't find out until after that game. Isn't it right before the SB when they announce it?
