Updated odds are Allen -600 Jackson +425. Sportsbooks still have him as a heavy favorite.

Lamar has another prime time game vs a playoff team coming up, which gives him the opportunity to further close the gap. Said it before but him finishing the season in prime time while Allen plays garbage teams works in Lamar's favor.

All the way down to -600...

We secure the 2 seed or better, Josh is winning MVP.  Josh real close to his case resting now.

I don’t know, I don’t like the odds of KC losing 2 in a row, at this point I say let them wrap it up, Bills get one more win or Ravens one more loss, take a week (or two) off in the regular season and be ready to play ball in the playoffs.  They absolutely cannot afford injuries going in.

Honestly, I think he’s got a real point and it’s not a terrible bet.  We all know how much the media loves Lamar.

I don't know.  KC still has to play Steelers and Broncos who will also be playing for seeding the last week.  And division games are always tough.

Something else helps his case more - and is FAR more important than the MVP race.  The only way Allen winning the MVP means anything to me is if he also hoists the Lombardi trophy.

I don't think the Bills defense is good enough to win the Lombardi this year, unless they run through three or four shootouts. And, for that to be the case, Josh and the offense need to be much better than they were today.

And ran up the score against a Steelers side who have already clinched a play off place. Not limped home against the bottom dwelling Pats.

And had 3/4 of their secondary out.

Both would be good too

it will be the defense again that is the cause of the bills getting kicked out of the playoffs.

Like I said... I have a feeling we don't see Allen play again during the regular season.

If the Chiefs win on Wednesday, the Bills have literally nothing to gain.  Why would they even consider risking injury?

A couple huge performances by Jackson, and that Lions game will be a distant memory to MVP voters.

If the Ravens or Steelers win on Wednesday then the two seed is still not locked in, so the Bills will be full strength against the Jets. Both lose with a Chiefs win, and that's two seed confirmed.

Allen is the heavy favourite for MVP, it was over after the Detroit game… just win and finish 14-3 and the 2 seed and we’ll be watching Allen accept his 1st MVP remotely as he prepares for the Super Bowl.

If Pitt wins out and Baltimore ends up as the wild card there is no way Jackson gets the MVP over Allen having a worst record and not winning his division.

Sadly the voters will look at the bottom line and not the details.

The details are that the Bills won to go 12 - 3 and the Ravens are at 10 - 5.  If Buffalo and Baltimore both win the rest of their games then there is no way they give it to a 12 - 5 Jackson over a 14 - 3 Allen.

If the Chiefs win on Wednesday,

That game felt totally flat. In the end, these kinds of games are whiplash from the wildly entertaining last month.

If KC loses to the Steelers...there's no chance of Bills resting starters next weekend.

Even if KC wins the Bills can't rest their starters next week because Baltimore could steal the #2 seed if the Bills lose their last 2.

If the Chiefs and Texans win on Christmas Day, then that's the first and second seeds locked in.

And that would not be a bad outcome as it would tell the Bills exactly where they stand with 2 games left and the could plan accordingly.
