So… what’s at play here with people like Cam?

Purely for tv or other motives?

Because Cam is either lazy or purposefully uneducated with his takes on Allen.

He puts him as elite with Mahomes, Burrow and Lamar, but some of this stuff, from people like him, comes off personal.  This is a pattern with him now.

Cam has some of the worst takes ever.  When I’ve watched him, even the other guys on the set seem to be wondering what Cam’s smoking.  I mean, look at how the guy is dressed?

I don't know if it's technically MVP hype, but I was looking through my saved social media and came across this tweet from September that says it all:

Josh is going to blow away his QB career rushing TD record which is probably the only thing Cam has left to hold onto. Hurts will blow by it as well if his career doesn't flame out early like Cam's did.

Lamar, whilst I agree has the more efficient stat line this year can’t walk away with it over even Jalen Hurts, Goff, Saquon and Josh. Not when the way it panned out last year.

But all the advanced efficiency metrics favor Allen. Allen has a higher QBR and EPA. So it isn't even really true that Lamar has been the more efficient player.

One of the other arguments you hear is that Lamar would have more rushing TD's if he didn't have Henry on his team. That is also false. For one, look at Lamar's entire career. He has never been a high volume rushing TD QB. Why would this year with or without Henry be any different? Second, James cook has  the same amount of rushing TD's as Henry, they both have 13. So if the argument is Henry has stolen some rushing TD's from Lamar, why is the same not true for Allen?

If the argument is for Lamar, are we now going to have a player in the era of Allen and Mahomes with 3 MVPs and Allen have none....

On the surface that seems silly and completely ridiculous. But who knows anymore honestly

You can't keep winning MVP but be terrible in the playoffs compared to the other two super star contemporaries

How do you have 3 MVPs but no rings... It doesn't make sense

If Lamar were to win MVP and Mahomes or Allen win the super bowl and Lamar is terrible in the playoffs. I just don't get how the media wouldn't be embarrassed at that point.

Lamar had 15 completions for 207, 3 TDs, and 1 int in the red zone.   didn’t run well only 22 yards on 9 carries. To me he didn’t move the MVP needle drastically in his direction at all. although it was a nice team win for the Ravens. even the D played well and contributed a pick six.

I think Henry was the story of this game, watching him ramble for 162 yards on 24 carries,  6.8avg.  He got the ball down there and Lamar tossed a couple to wide open guys to finish it off.

if Allen plays a normal game vs NE, not “Superman”  and the Bills win, i think the weekend is mostly a wash. I doubt Lamar closes the gap.

We’ll see what Saquon does tomorrow and whether the media gushes over him this coming week even though he’s been nothing special the past two games.

Henry has been the reason all season.  Does he have a game under 100 yards rushing?

Yeah he has 6-7 games fewer than 100 yards.

the Key for him is 20+ carries.  When the Ravens hand off to him that many times his numbers are ridiculous.

Cam is p*ssed because Josh is breaking all the records he once held. He's also just out here 🤡'ing for clicks and views since his football career is over. And his "fashion sense" may be the clearest evidence of CTE to date.

I have long believed that Cam Newton could be officially designated as intellectually disabled if he chose to be.

Josh, Lamar and Burrow are all having MVP worthy seasons.  I don't know if there's ever been a year with 3 QBs playing at such a high level.

I'm sure there had to be some Brady/Manning/Rodgers years in there somewhere?

Anyway, the Bills' record and Allen's heroics put him over the top.

Cam is irrelevant. I'm not sure why anyone would care what he has to say or why he would have opinions more important than any other person.

Cam Newton was one of the most overrated players in NFL history. He acted like a complete buffoon for the majority of his career and is best known for failing to jump on a fumble in the Super Bowl and then acting like a petulant child in the aftermath. Other than his MVP season in 2015 (where he was still unbelievably a below 60 percent passer), Cam was an extremely average quarterback who was below par from the pocket.

He is a narcissistic idiot, in my opinion. I used to like him until I followed him more closely and saw how he really acts.

He’s always been like that. The guy never truly matured after getting to the league like most top QBs.

Agree, Burrow on a bad team takes him out of the conversation, and you’re correct about the heroics separating Allen from Lamar with being the only QB in history to stop TWO 9+ win streaks in the same season, both those teams were the 1 seeds…. Lamar just doesn’t have the moments
