If you missed all of the positive coverage of Allen over the years,  that's your problem.

Like many,  I think you're looking for a reason to get upset with national coverage.

It's a very buffalo thing to do.

I'm gonna take a wild guess that Mahomes 3 Super Bowl wins might have something to do with him not getting the same criticism.

I'm not upset, nor have I missed the positive coverage of Allen. I'm just pointing out that the constant refrain "Allen turns the ball over too much" is never, that I've seen and heard, paired with his remarkable touchdown production. It's the mindless repetition of the Narrative I object to.

By the way, I also object to the "Mahomes won three Super Bowls, so he should be spared all criticism" narrative you repeat, too. I'll assume the best and won't accuse you of being mindless on this point. Maybe you thought it through and concluded Mahomes should only be praised. All Hail Saint Patrick?

Please show me where I said mahomes should be 'spared all criticism.'

I'll hang up and listen.

Probably the wrong thread for this, but the Decline of Travis Kelce is well underway.

8.4 YPC this year after years of 12, then 10.

When has he ever been held to two catches for minimal yards vs the Bills defense?

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Let the embarrassing film career begin!

I mean I also think that was a great football game.

Remember when that wild Chiefs - Rams game was being lauded as the best game ever... was it 54-51... ? I said man that is not my idea of a great football game.

The best games are those 30-21 or 34-27 type games. When every drive feels like it ends in a touchdown... meh.  Not enough jeopardy. That Sunday was a true battle between offense and defense, a fascinating strategy battle between two excellent coaching staffs and two all world QBs who were prevented from playing perfect but who each made 4 or 5 incredible plays over the course of the game. It had jeopardy, drama, lead changes and some great football plays.

Maybe I only feel this way because we won - but actually I was saying it in the GDT at half time - that was my favourite Bills - Chiefs game of the rivalry. I loved it.

Shout out to the refs last Sunday as well.   Yeah there were a few egregious missed calls and the non review of the drop at the end of the game but flag free football is just so much more satisfying to watch.  Just let them play.

Yea I agree. As long as the let them play is broadly consistent (and I think it was) I prefer it that way.

Two games before playing Bills Kelce had good games - it had a lot to do with Buffalo defense.

You just had to remind me of that, didn't you.

Next thing you'll tell me that Taylor Swift isn't on a downward arc.

They should do this game in London.

Just want to see how many thumbs down I get.

Nah let Munich have it since the NFL gave them Giants and Panthers. You know the NFL needs to redeem themselves for glob of 💩

Not until England repays for field which seemed less appropriate than a bunch of folding tables to play of.

I think the NFL should send the two worst teams to NFL every year as "reward".

We don't have Poyer to let him just run on by anymore.

It would’ve happened last year in the playoffs if the Bills LB corps wasn’t literally the most depleted it’s ever been in all my years watching this team. I knew as soon as AJ Klein was on the field, trying to play coverage there was no chance of them stopping KC at all that game. Had Bernard been healthy I’m pretty sure this team goes to the SuperBowl last year. Hell, they could’ve probably gotten the job done with Williams and Spector, but AJ Klein was just a bridge too far.

Putting AJ Klein in coverage was bad idea.  He was not performing well when they tried to stick a round peg into square hole first time and when they changed how they were using him he got Player of the Week award.  Not enough time for defense to adjust I guess.

Flexing a Thanksgiving game will likely screw a lot of fans who bought airline tickets, game tickets and hotel rooms at one of the biggest travel periods of the year with new game fans even more but that is not as important as TV ratings.   You should be working in NFL office.

That's never stopped the NFL before.

There were a lot of iconic moments: the kelce golf clap at the end was peak. The bills/miami rivalry has lost some juice now that Wilkins is no longer there to grab Allen’s junk etc. this is THE rivalry now.

His ypc totals in the three games prior were still really bad though.  9, 8 and 7 ypc. He had volume but he wasn’t making big gains.

Face it guys the tv networks will make sure regardless of the records these two teams play each other every year Josh and Patrick are the QBs.

Except the schedule formula is predetermined and set 10 years in advance. Only factor in this matchup outside of the divisional series ( every 4th year) is the final place finish within the respective divisions.
