The Jets have 1 problem. It's Aaron and the joke of an OC he brought with him to the Jets. He's had a FU attitude to everyone in that organization and he's rewarded for it.

 

Absolutely insane. 

Woody is the number 1 issue and Rodgers is second.

Actually there is a rule about coaches or front office staff being players; a team could get away with a player retiring and then becoming a coach or working for team but a player cannot do this.    It came up when Denver ran out of QBs.  That does not prevent an own telling a GM to listen to player.

The NFL finally forced Snyder out prior to the 2023 season, so the new regime was in place last season.  They got Daniels in their second draft.

 

Posters on TSW are always whining about how the Bills are "wasting" Allen because they've failed to get to a SB, but Burrow is in a situation where his talent is really being wasted.   He's lighting up the league but his team can't win games because there are so many holes on the rest of the team. 

 

That said, I don't put Cinci in the same category as the Bills, Lions, and Commanders used to be or as the Jests are now.  They're more like the Dolphins and Colts and maybe the Falcons.  They aren't good but they aren't perpetual bottom feeders, either.

Teams don't really expect many QBs drafted after the first round to become franchise QBs, but when one you drafted looks like crap on your team but goes on to have a decent career elsewhere like Geno Smith, it's just more evidence of incompetence.

Woody was the ambassador to the UK during the first Trump administration (seasons 2017-2020) which didn't improve the Jests all that much.  Why would another stint as ambassador change anything with the Jests?   It's wishful thinking on the part of Jests fans IMO.

Cincy has a superbowl apperance and another afc title game. We have one afc title game where we got waxed. They're having a down year for sure but it's like the most historic down year ever with how amazing the offense has been and bad their d has been. The Chargers got Harbaugh and things changed immediately. You get the qb with the right coach and gm and ownership doesn't matter. Look at the cowboys...talent everywhere for years but terrible coaching and they suck every year.

Ahhhhhhh…the Jets! Absolutely love it!

 

 

 

They can both be true. At the beginning of the season, it's hard to argue this team had significant gaps at skill positions.  Plus they brought in Adams.  An owner can expect that roster to win a lot of games. 

 

The problem became the O-line stinks and the QB is beyond washed up.

 

A GM has one real job: pick the right HC/QB combo.  This GM never got any of it right, so he had to go.

Well I hope they move the JEST to England or Ireland and he can get something done about the terrible fields NFL teams playing there.
