billsfan89 Posted yesterday at 02:16 AM Posted yesterday at 02:16 AM I think KC is going to have 2 more losses in them. I think it is going to come down to can the Bills go 5-1 down the stretch? That still leaves a margin of error to lose the Lions game and possibly come away with the one seed. BUT the 49ers and Rams are legit decent teams and 3 division games could be tricky even if the Jets and Pats are ass. Right now getting a win against the 49ers is all the Bills can worry about at the moment. Worry about sealing up your division first and let the chips fall where they may. Quote

But could lose in the division and are not playing good football right now. Texans are going to get healthier and stand a chance to win the next few going into KC with a 3 game streak at 10-4. They will lose to the Ravens or the Chiefs. “Ravens should not lose more that 1 game?” They can lose to any of the three teams you mentioned without it being considered an update. As far as the Texans I think the team is highly overrated. Even at full strength they never really blew teams away. I think Collins great and Stroud and Mixon can be good, but the team doesn’t scare me. I can even see them losing to Miami. 1 Quote

To be fair, it is tougher to figure things out when you are running AJ Klein as your main linebacker. 1 Quote

We have been bit by the injury bug during the playoffs but so have other teams. Injuries or not the last game of our seasons, the defense has always underachieved. The good QBs pick our zone apart come playoff time as we seem to get very little pressure, and the offense has to be really on. It was 13 seconds, but they did have all three time outs and all they needed was a FG to tie. It was a spectacular failure, but the game was not over. Quote

Might as well have been, then they marched the ball down the field in OT. 12 minutes ago, Miyagi-Do Karate said: To be fair, it is tougher to figure things out when you are running AJ Klein as your main linebacker. Undoubtedly, but injuries are nothing new in football. The defense injuries or not have to figure out a way to stop the other teams in the 4th quarter in the playoffs, don't want to be a negative Nancy but we've yet to do this in the playoffs. I think the defensive scheme is flawed myself, wish Schwartz was the DC and we had his system or one alike it in place, but that's impossible when your head coach has his own defensive system. Kinda like how Rex came in and Schwartz was only here 1 year. I hope I'm wrong and will gladly eat my words when we go all the way! Edited yesterday at 02:34 AM by billrooter 1 Quote

I don’t think they have a different playoff mindset at all. The Bills are by nature a pretty conservative defense that doesn’t blitz much. In the playoffs you’re playing better QBs, and they tend to be able to deal with the Bills D and its minimal pressure. They need to change this up come playoff time or this lack of pass rush is going to be their Achilles heal yet again. There’s just no way this teams ceiling with Josh Allen at QB should be the divisional round. The Bills should be on their 3rd AFC title game by now. Quote
TFBillsfan Posted yesterday at 03:02 AM Posted yesterday at 03:02 AM We should know by now, there are no easy games. If a team shows up unprepared or not focused, they are ripe for an upset. San Fran and the Rams are playing for their playoffs lives and I fully expect them to come out swinging. Realistically if we want the #1 seed we need to win both of those games. I don’t expect KC to lose more than two games so we need to go 5-1 down the stretch at the minimum. Why I would love for the Bills to have the #1 seed, I just want them to be healthy throughout the playoffs! 1 Quote
Scott7975 Posted yesterday at 03:36 AM Posted yesterday at 03:36 AM (edited) I wanted to put this somewhere but didnt know where really. Also didnt want to start a thread over it. Seen this on Chris Simms show PFT talk or something. I thought it was interesting. This graphic really shows how Josh turns it up a notch in the playoffs against the Chiefs but the Defense really craps the bed. That or Mahommie has like an extra 15 gears in the playoffs. I mean we already knew this really, I just thought this graphic really put it in perspective. Our D difference ouch. Edited yesterday at 03:38 AM by Scott7975 1 Quote

I've seen this..and its both. most teams and especially NE of the past and now the chiefs really play better in the playoffs. the chiefs last year were just gettin by and then playoffs hit and they killing everyone...though no one mentions it..but playoffs the bills handled the chiefs the best of everyone. Buffalo through injuries and what not to the Defense seem to actually play at a lower level than reg season. 44 minutes ago, Boatdrinks said: I don’t think they have a different playoff mindset at all. BigAl2526 Posted yesterday at 04:17 AM Posted yesterday at 04:17 AM I don't see Cleveland as the threat to KC that some do. I think the legit threats to the Chiefs in their last seven games are the Chargers, Steelers and Texans. For Buffalo, San Francisco may not be the threat they would have been a year ago, but I'll still be wary of Kyle Shanahan. Detroit is the biggest threat, obviously. Every other team on the Bills schedule is beatable if they play like they're capable of playing. The Detroit game will be every bit the challenge that the Chiefs game was, except it won't happen in the friendly confines of Highmark Stadium. I think there is a decent chance Kansas City loses one more game this season. If Buffalo can get past Detroit, I think they have a decent chance to go undefeated the rest of the way. Quote

The defense is always a wreck injury wise in the postseason. 13 seconds game we were starting Levi Wallace and Dane Jackson at corner, last year no benford and the Lb room was ravaged. Chiefs would light us up in the regular season under those same circumstances. Quote

They have unusual speed. However the Bills were not playing well when they lost to Houston... they're playing much better right now than they were in week 5. Different subject, I remember lots of comments wishing the Bills bye week came earlier this season... I think due to all of the injuries. It seems now that it couldn't come at a better time AND if the Bills do lock up the top seed they'll have a bye this weekend and another for the Wild Card round on January 11-12. It would be great to have 2 byes in an 7 week period... and then to play all playoff games at home heading into the Super Bowl. Edited yesterday at 11:00 AM by Sierra Foothills Quote
