They have 9 away games this season and are @ Detroit for the Conference 1st place crossover game. Next season they will have 9 home games. Based on the rotation, that game is the NFC East #1. Seems like an imbalance because they played Washington at home as their NFC 1st place crossover in 2021. The AFC Wast has to be away at the NFC East since we were home to them in 2021. Now it's their turn to host. Home and away each particular year does not matter to the NFL as long as the complete cycle of years balances out. Just like it was ok to be away at KC three years in a row, as we are hosting them now for straight three years (assuming we finish in the same place as them in 2025). gonzo1105 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago My guess is one of these home games will be an international game and our opener will be at home on Thursday 😉 Quote

Yeah i agree about the game. Back when i lived in ATL the Bills fans would come out in big numbers to games there and in Charlotte. That was even before Allen. Quote
Logic Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Wanted to point out that, if I'm not mistaken, it's technically possible that one of our home games next year could be played overseas. Would suck giving up a home game while playing at that stadium for the final year, but it's possible it may happen. Quote

Are you certain that this is correct? I didn't think the factor of whether the "extra" game was home or away in any given year played any part in determining whether a team plays an international game in said year. Quote

It makes sense, either way there is an imbalance at this point, but the Bills official website has it that way. https://www.buffalobills.com/schedule/future-opponents And I couldnt find much else, but this: https://www.si.com/nfl/commanders/news/washington-commanders-look-ahead-future-schedule-opponents Unless the NFL is able to weasel an 18th regular season game out of the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) we know the Commanders will play one more road game than home. That team will be the AFC East Division team that finishes in the same positioning as Washington does in the NFC East. According to early projections, it's likely that team will be either the New York Jets or New England Patriots. Either way, it's an east coast trip, so good for mileage. https://www.giants.com/news/new-york-giants-future-opponents-schedule-nfl-cowboys-eagles-commanders This is a Giants one that shows them away @ AFCE in 2025 https://www.newyorkjets.com/schedule/future-opponents Jets home vs NFC East in 2025 https://www.nfl.com/news/expansion-to-17-game-season-promises-to-keep-nfl-growing For fans, the rewards are more inarguable and straightforward. The 17-game regular season starts this fall, meaning the universally hated preseason shrinks. AFC teams will host nine regular-season home games this season (the NFC goes next season, and they alternate thereafter). The scheduling formula -- teams from opposing conferences that finished in the same place within their divisions the previous season will face off I do not see anything pointing to the possibility that NFC hosts the AFC again next year for the 17th game. Yes: https://operations.nfl.com/journey-to-the-nfl/the-nfl-s-international-impact/the-nfl-international-series/#:~:text=Each season%2C there will be,they have nine home games. "Each season, there will be at least four games played internationally. Each NFL team is guaranteed to play a home game at an international site every eight seasons. As part of the league adopting a 17-game schedule in 2021, AFC and NFC teams will alternate seasons where they have nine home games. The host teams for international games will be selected from the conference with the ninth home game, so clubs still will host eight games in their home stadium. For example, since NFC teams have a ninth home game in 2022, four NFC teams will be selected to host an international game that season. Teams can still volunteer to play home games abroad, just as they have in previous seasons" Edited 1 hour ago by chongli 1 Quote
colin Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago im kinda touting the iggles as my dark horse nfc team, i think goff might turn into a pumpkin and the iggles have sb experience. if we play (and beat) the iggles in the bowl, that would be a tremendous opening thursday game, philly at buff on the opening thursday night. Good research. Note the Bills schedule for 2025 shows an asterisk by the 17th game since it is subject to change. I am going by @djp14150's post above for us being away in 2025; maybe he has a link. Nothing I can see is really official this point, but there could be more stuff out there. I can try to check further when I have the time, but I am not sure. Edited 1 hour ago by chongli Quote

This season, it is actually even more relevant with the Bills' spot nearly 100% locked in, as well as the other cross-over Divisions Last season at Rich Stadium! With 9 home games, we could be ripe for the pickins for an international game. Home Miami New England Jets Baltimore Cincinnati New Orleans Tampa Bay Kansas City (6% Chance its the chargers) Eagles (16% Chance its the Redskins) Away Miami New England Jets Steelers Falcons Panthers Browns Texans (5% Colts) First thought is, what a high-leveraged home side AFC schedule. Baltimore, Cincy, and KC at home. we’ll if we have to giveaway one of our home games to Europe, one can only hope it s a crappy team like New Orleans. Then again, I’ll table off season discussions for the off season. What’s the rush. Quote

In the history of the 17-game schedule, we have: -9 road games -8 home games, plus a “home” game against a Jaguars team that had spent the whole week in London and plays there every year -9 road games (this year) If I’m Pegula, I’m screaming at the league office that we need to actually benefit from the unbalanced schedule at some point. Thank You! I’ve been seeing this forever and hardly anyone is even aware of this mishap! Quote

machine gun kelly Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Well, if the Miami game is late in the year (In Miami), we might head down for that one. ATL is also an easy one for us as ATL is fun town amd there is a delta flight every hour on. The hour from Tampa. Quote

Ray Stonada Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Feel like we’re getting ahead of ourselves… That said, they should count an international game as road game if a team’s last one was counted as a home game. 1 Quote

So far we’ve been F’d over so let’s just agree to disagree. It’s about his fair and balanced as Fox News (whoops, did I go there?). For all we know by the time we get to the year 7 and its KC’s turn to have 7 home games like us 🤬🤬, they’ll add an 18th game. I do hear what you’re saying that on paper it’s designed to be equal. But we’ve been screwed over so far and that’s a fact! 1 Quote
