2025 Schedule Pretty Much Locked In

Figure this is always something I look at during the bye week.  This season, it is actually even more relevant with the Bills' spot nearly 100% locked in, as well as the other cross-over Divisions

 

Last season at Rich Stadium!

 

With 9 home games, we could be ripe for the pickins for an international game.

First thought is, what a high-leveraged home side AFC schedule.  Baltimore, Cincy, and KC at home.

Also, that road schedule looks to be advantageous.  Even if all teams are even, it is extremely light on travel.  I really hope we dont get hit with an international game

Bills win SuperBowl then probably open the season on Thrusay at home against Baltimore or maybe the NFC East winner.

Bills don't win SuperBowl then probably open on Thursday at Steelers.

Looking at the home schedule I see a lot of opportunities for primetime games with good teams coming to Buffalo. On the road maybe only the Steelers and Texans as the rest should be Sunday 1:00 games.

If we get the opener like that I'd expect it to be a big draw. Phili, KC, or Baltimore

Hopefully the NFL doesn’t take a home game away from the Bills in the last year of their stadium.

I DEEPLY hope we don’t have to give up another home game. In the history of the 17-game schedule, we have:

-9 road games

-8 home games, plus a “home” game against a Jaguars team that had spent the whole week in London and plays there every year

-9 road games (this year)

 

If I’m Pegula, I’m screaming at the league office that we need to actually benefit from the unbalanced schedule at some point.

Too bad we have to play the AFC North, but on the other hand, we also get to play the NFC South.

Baltimore played the NFL Kickoff this year, so unlikely they play next year., Also, the NFL prefers not to have an inter-conference game for the Kickoff.

I wonder who decides what games go on what network. CBS, NBC, FOX, ESPN, Prime all try to get the best games. For example, NBC would love to have the Bills-Chiefs to open week one for the first game of the year, if one of them wins the Super Bowl but you know CBS will do everything, they can to keep that game as it is one of the best if not the best AFC game being played since they have the AFC package.

Selfishly I'd love another international game - London was a blast.  As it now stands, next year's road schedule is lame, none of those cities looks like a fun place to go party for a weekend.

Well if KC wins the SB, it won't be Buffalo in the Kickoff since we host KC next year. And, yeah, the KC-Buffalo matchup has become the annual game of the year, like NE-Indy used to be. The NFL has rhe final say on deciding the network, but the individual networks have a large input.

for game day experience charlotte will be about the best road destination for 2025. a definite win, tons of Bills fans in a huge takeover. and the bills fans in carolina always do it up for the incoming folks.

We definitely need the 9 home games for the last year at the Ralph - gonna just be so many iconic moments and I for one, want to be there as many times as humanly possible given that I live 6 hours away!

Also, more to your point:

 

I checked all the Josh vs. Mahommes games in the regular season, and the network breakdown is as follows:

 

2020 - FOX/NFL Network (pandemic year)

2021 - NBC

2022 - CBS 

2023 - CBS

2024 - CBS

 

Prime and ESPN would love to get in the mix, but Thursday is more unlikely, given this is a premier game and the NFL wouldn't want the teams on short rest , probably (unless both teams are coming off byes or mini-byes maybe?).
