I used to watch the games and cheer on but wasn't as emotionally invested as before and after that period. Quote
Sweats Posted yesterday at 04:10 PM Posted yesterday at 04:10 PM The early 2000's Bills had me completely checked out. Depending on how we were playing in the 1st quarter dictated whether i watched the rest of the game or not. It was just absolute garbage football. It was a failing franchise, and everyone knew it, but the ball we've been seeing the past 7 years has turned electric and it's all i look forward to watching on Sundays. 1 1 Quote

Fleezoid Posted yesterday at 04:33 PM Posted yesterday at 04:33 PM After the playoff loss last year, I basically told myself it'll likely never happen. I spent the whole offseason and up to this point keeping my expectations essentially at zero. I've been asking myself 'how will the Bills implode this year and what will it look like?' It's a horrible way to be I know, but honestly, I've been a bit more relaxed watching the games. It's also a defense mechanism against the inevitable crushing feeling from an early exit. A lot of folks say, "just enjoy the ride." I get it. But the ride gets a bit stale when it keeps ending the same way. I will say the next month and a half should be fun with the Bills having all but locked up the division with a chance at the 1 seed. Mostly stress free. 2 Quote

Looking at the standings with the Bills at 9-2, Dolphins 4-6, Jets and Pats both 3-8. The magic number is 2. Any combination of Bills wins or Dolphins losses equaling 2 means they can't catch the Bills especially since the Bills swept them. If the Pats and Jets both ran the table (they obviously wont) the best they could do is 9-8. All the Bills need is 1 win, and those teams can't catch them. I guess we need the Pats to pull off the upset over the Dolphins this week reducing the magic number over Miami to 1. If that happens then the Bills can officially clinch the division vs SF. 1 Quote

Especially the part about being relaxed. I was completely chill for as much of the game as I watched. I had an online class at 6:30 and attended it. In the past there is no way I would have missed any of the game. Still don’t trust this staff but that hopeful part of me is being tweaked😜 7 minutes ago, Jauronimo said: Still trying to figure out how you were emotionally checked out of an 8-2 season We have beaten a bunch of scrub teams and regardless of the “points scored” argument, some of those games were stinkers. We have all watched a 13-3 team get crushed and the #2 seed lose repeatedly at home so 🤷♂️ 1 Quote

Back then, I watched all the early season games, sometimes driving long distances to sports bars. But by the end of the season, I was skipping games. Now? I haven't missed a game since McD took over. 1 Quote

SageAgainstTheMachine Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago My first exposure to Bills fanship was at the very start of the drought, so I’ve enjoyed every bit of success since 2017. I’d relish a 6-3 win over the Patriots backups in Week 18. Quote
