I think McDaniel is a good coach and I also think it'd be crazy to fire him. But it could happen. As for the playoffs this year, they are currently a good team but unfortunately (for them) 4-6 with games in Green Bay, in Houston, and at home vs SF. The rest are manageable; their away game vs the Jets is the final game of the season and that could be a classic run for the bus game for the Jets.

The Bengals are the most interesting to me. If they beat the Steelers at home coming off their bye, the rest of their schedule is pretty easy until the final game. I can easily see them at 9-7 before their season-ending game in Pittsburgh.  The only other tough opponent is Denver the prior week, but that's at home.

I don't think he is a particularly good head coach personally, but he is a great offensive mind and I think Tua's success is pretty dependent on him and his scheme. So I agree they'd be really silly to fire him on the basis of a season where Tua missed a chunk of games in the softer part of their schedule. But I'm not sure I see a great route to the Dolphins getting better any time soon because the salary cap is gonna bite again next spring.

I would assume the Lions and Texans coordinators would get raided. Wondering if Brian Flores will get another look as he is having a good year with the Vikes.

McDaniel would not fit at all with culture McDermott built up for Bills.

There have been a couple players who, after leaving the Dolphins, called the team out for poor work habits, including practices being run "soft." That's something that would clearly not fly with McDermott, or the culture they've created in Buffalo.

I question his playcalling, also. Especially halftime adjustments-- It seems like it takes a couple games before he adjusts to what's not working...

It's more likely than not that Joe Brady will get some interviews. Whether or not he gets a job is really dependent on how the rest of the season goes.

I also don’t think he’ll take a job unless they have a good GM in place and a QB he believes is or can be a franchise player.

There is no way to run that offense without a ton of practice, repetition, and precision.  Maybe on the defensive side of the ball they are soft and un-rehearsed but that offense is super crisp because it wouldn't work otherwise.

I'm not saying he's great, but he is good. Who do you replace him with? He at least created a real, distinctive, and positive identity for a team that had none for decades.

Oh I wouldn't replace him. I just don't know how you make that team better than the ceiling we have seen so far. I think he struggles as a leader and their defense year after year gets a new coordinator and doesn't improve.
