.... what? I guess if you take one line and ignore literally everything else:

"Coming out of my cage and I've been doing just fine
Gotta, gotta be down, because I want it all
It started out with a kiss, how did it end up like this?
It was only a kiss, it was only a kiss
Now I'm falling asleep and she's calling a cab
While he's having a smoke and she's taking a drag
Now they're going to bed and my stomach is sick
And it's all in my head, but she's touching his

Chest now, he takes off her
Dress now, let me go
And I just can't look, it's killing me
They're taking control

Jealousy, turning saints into the sea
Swimming through sick lullabies, choking on your alibis
But it's just the price I pay, destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes, 'cause I'm Mr. Brightside

I'm coming out of my cage and I've been doing just fine
Gotta, gotta be down, because I want it all
It started out with a kiss, how did it end up like this?
It was only a kiss, it was only a kiss
Now I'm falling asleep and she's calling a cab

I never...
I never...
I never...
I never..."

Well, it has 2 BILLION plays on Spotify, so it’s pretty much beloved and the crowd enjoys it even if the lyrics aren’t “We Will Rock You”. 🤣🤣

Or you could just ignore the title of the song.

Open up my eager eyes, 'cause I'm Mr. Brightside

My dude - google the song meaning. Or look at the Wikipedia for the song itself:

"Lyrically, "Mr. Brightside" depicts a true story of Flowers' jealousy and paranoia when he walked into a bar in Las Vegas and found his girlfriend cheating on him. "I was asleep and I knew something was wrong," he said. "I have these instincts. I went to the Crown and Anchor, a bar in Vegas, and my girlfriend was there with another guy."

It's an awesome song. I like it and clearly the Bills and the fanbase too.

But the message of the song is clearly about infidelity and paranoia. To argue that it has nothing to do with that is just factually wrong.

The message of the song is promoting infidelity and paranoia? And not about overcoming it? If you've done research you should know the songwriter is also Christian and infuses his spirituality into his music.

There's a clear parallel to Bills fans always assuming the worse. I remember a poster in early 2020, after an INT, literally saying that drafting Josh Allen will be end of the franchise.

I can't think of a better anthem for paranoid and pervasively negative Bills fans than the overly infectious positivity of Mr. Brightside.

Maybe focus on what destiny is calling you!

The song ends up with him not letting both of them "take control" of his life with their actions.

He opens his eyes about the reality of the girl, and he moves on.

Dodging that dysfunctional relationship, he now looks at the "Mr. Brightside" of life.

You're clearly smarter than 100k+ Bills fans, as well as the players who love it as an anthem.

The Killers Vocalist, Nrandin Fkowers says it's about how his girl cheated on him and he caught her. That doesn't make me smart it just proves I know how to read an article. Ill take the word of the guy who wrote the song over 100k drunk football fans.
