Complete change in the National Media re Allen

It doesn't matter...Josh's opportunity for a Lombardi goes as far as the Bills team takes him.  The Bills losing does not put Allen in the Super Bowl.   It is Allen and McDermott's responsibility to bring that championship home.  Hopefully the luck and the bounce of the ball favors the Bills in the Playoffs to achieve this dream.  Go Bills !!!

Maybe.  He just can't have a lousy game that's for sure.  I think his biggest hurdle was beating undefeated KC, which he accomplished.  And the splash play to win the game was what all the country needed to see.

Allen was at his best.  One bad pick, but otherwise he was slinging it all over the field.

 

And that final run - w/ the entire country watching and all of the stakes, on 4th & 2 - gotta think that was one of his best.  Just exhilarating to watch. I even saw Chiefs fans say they hated to lose, but thought that was an awesome play.

 

That play and Cook’s TD running over the defender were nominees for weekly angry run but they gave it to Richardson for straight arming a guy at the goal line

well, the media does pick the MVP, yes...but I've been told here at TSW that the MVP goes to a #1 seed QB.

 

anyway, Josh has received "national media" love in past seasons and mentioned as MVP.  It doesn't matter.

I'm not surprised, i had an opportunity to see the rough draft of the 2024 "script" it had a few different scenarios in case of unforeseen injuries and such.Really can't say much more, and not really sure if i truly believe it anyhow.

Yeah, it's crazy that so many people get paid to simply talk about football every week and so many opinions are way out in left field. Then I got to thinking.....I'm reading and posting at work. So essentially, I'm getting paid to talk about football and deliver ridiculous opinions too.

obviously a bit more nuanced than that. but honestly, the top guys might as well all be starting from scratch right now. what happens the next 7 weeks is going to decide it. Allen vs Goff. Bills record vs Ravens record. does mahomes keep his current statistical trajectory or does he beef up his stats with a half dozen vintage Mahomes games.

completely gone was the narrative that “he can’t beat Mahomes” and “ he can’t win in the playoffs “. And in its place was “Allen has always done enough to win, his defense/coaching/etc has let him down.”  “He left the field with a lead and 13 seconds remaining, that’s not a lose by Allen”. “Their kicker missed a FG, Allen didn’t miss”

 

Couple that with Rex Ryan saying “the Bills have lost to the Chiefs, But Allen has never lost to the Chiefs”

 

 the Media is finally looking past the team W-L record and considering what Allen has done.

 

when they talked MVP award? It was a 2 or 3 man race.  And Allen was #1.  The deciding factor? Lamar (#2) doesn’t show up in big games.  Allen DOES.  (Distant 3rd they were talking Goff?)

 

this might be the year Allen gets his very deserved MVP

This take makes no sense to me. The Chiefs have been very lucky this year. They are a few plays away from second place in their division. The Bills absolutely smashed them Sunday. Putting up 30 points on that defense is seriously impressive. The Chiefs got beat up and down the field all day.

 

The Chiefs are very flawed and they are going to get exposed in the next few weeks
