peterpan Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I don’t always listen to sports radio, but I happened to today. On three different shows, the hosts discussed Allen, and how he has always done what it takes to win(and beat the Chiefs). completely gone was the narrative that “he can’t beat Mahomes” and “ he can’t win in the playoffs “. And in its place was “Allen has always done enough to win, his defense/coaching/etc has let him down.” “He left the field with a lead and 13 seconds remaining, that’s not a lose by Allen”. “Their kicker missed a FG, Allen didn’t miss” Couple that with Rex Ryan saying “the Bills have lost to the Chiefs, But Allen has never lost to the Chiefs” the Media is finally looking past the team W-L record and considering what Allen has done. when they talked MVP award? It was a 2 or 3 man race. And Allen was #1. The deciding factor? Lamar (#2) doesn’t show up in big games. Allen DOES. (Distant 3rd they were talking Goff?) this might be the year Allen gets his very deserved MVP 3 Quote
TheMightyMaxio Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Careful, the national media is nothing if not fickle. They flip flop like no one's business... and in a business where you are only as good as your last play... We better hope Josh's last drive (this season) is a good one. Sorry, to be Gloomy Gus. 5 1 Quote
julian Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Take care of business over these last 6 games and if Steelers win the North making Lamar and the Ravens a wildcard team, then Allen wins his first MVP. Quote
Sojourner Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Lol They were questioning his ability after Baltimore and then sh—ing all over him after the Houston game (rightly so). Theres a handful of guys out there who are truly impartial and offer a solid perspective of the game. No surprise they are ex players and coaches. Quote

Previously an absolutely unheard of thing for anyone to even question the absolute majesty of almighty Pat Edited 2 hours ago by stevewin 1 Quote
Success Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago That was the game of the year - and one QB showed up. Allen was at his best. One bad pick, but otherwise he was slinging it all over the field. And that final run - w/ the entire country watching and all of the stakes, on 4th & 2 - gotta think that was one of his best. Just exhilarating to watch. I even saw Chiefs fans say they hated to lose, but thought that was an awesome play. 1 Quote

So he was Bill-ieving in Allen before today. 1 1 Quote

zow2 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago They don’t want to give it to Lamar again, until he proves some playoff success. Allen is the chosen one for this season as long as he puts up solid numbers over the final six games and finishes no worse than #2 seed. The general consensus is Allen is doing more with less supporting cast, and overperforming compared to expectations. 1 Quote

PayDaBill$ Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Not really, I was listening to the yahoo’s on fox sports radio last night and all I heard was that KC played well in a loss and for hours they glanced over the Bills. I didn’t catch the dolt’s names on the cast but it was after 11pm eastern. Edited 48 minutes ago by PayDaBill$ Quote

Today on most of the football shows, any discussion of the game, aside from Allen’s great run was 70% what’s wrong with the Chiefs, what did the Chiefs do wrong yesterday and maybe 30% on what the Bills did to win.
