There was a typical pre-game thread with a few vague predictions like “Josh Allen won’t lose” and “we need to slay the dragon” but that’s about it. #1 MLB out #1 WLB out #1 CB out #3 CB out #2 DT out #2 WR You played our B-team and it still came down to a missed kick. Lol. Why lie? There's a prediction thread for every single Bills game. I'm guessing you're aware of that. https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/topic/252650-divisional-round-chefs-v-bills-predict-the-score/ Almost every poster predicted a Bills win. Most by double digits. Many predicted a blowout. Edited 23 hours ago by SaulGoodman Quote
C.Biscuit97 Posted yesterday at 02:27 AM Posted yesterday at 02:27 AM Come on. Look at how we act after regular season wins. Imagine how insane Bills’ fans would be if we won 3 SBs in like 5 years. The rest of the NFL would hate us (as opposed to being the lovable little brother we currently are). 2 1 Quote

You can preach about how KC suddenly woke up in the playoffs all you want but you can’t do that year after year and expect to win. You can’t assume it will happen again and that all other teams will seemingly get crippled by injuries before you play them in the playoffs while you stay mostly healthy. Kelce is a future hall of famer but any TE with a pulse could have been effective against Klein with Mahomes under center. With Milano and Bernard playing, the game isn’t an easy cakewalk or anything, but we would be far more likely to see the Bills on the winning side. We were quite literally playing a guy we pulled off a beach hammock and a banged up Tyrel Dodson and had to try and scheme a way to keep Kelce + from destroying us entirely. Add to that we had our 2CB out and our 1CB playing on one leg as well as a banged up legends safety corp. Last year reminded me of 05-06 with the Sabres. We didn’t lose due to our play as much as our defense was decimated to a point where it made a game/series we should have had a slight advantage in, a loss. And that’s not to take anything away from the Chiefs or Hurricanes own injuries but in both cases our teams were hit with injuries specifically to one spot and then drilled into further by more injuries to the spot. The Sabres that year were using their 11th defenseman on the depth chart and possibly their 12th. The Bills had their 3rd and 6th LBs out there. Just like every year people say ohhhh The Bengals always start slow. Well this year they are still slow 11 games in. Edited 22 hours ago by Scott7975 Quote

The "crippled" talk doesn't mesh with your fans' predictions before the game (which you can see in the thread I linked). Why were so many predicting a crippled team to win by 10-30 points? Supposing the Bills were crippled by injury...what's that got to do with the other 14 postseason games they've won the past six years? Were those teams all crippled? Mahomes has played in 18 postseason games. He's trailed at the end of regulation exactly once. I think you can safely assume he/they will perform at a high level. Dropping mid 20s in points against the injury ravaged bills and dolphins defenses then completely shutting down Lamar and beating the ravens with 17 points wasn’t far off from how they were winning regular season games. They weren't beating good teams in the regular season. The defense was mostly the same in the playoffs, but the offense was much different. Way more focused and efficient. Very few drops or mistakes. Massive cope about their chances? A 9-1 team that just lost for the first time in 16 games? Lol. Sounds more like wishful thinking on your part. KC's LT situation isn't ideal, but it hasn't been the last few years either. Worst-case scenario, Donovan Smith's waiting for a call if needed. He's not perfect, but they already know they can win with him. A more seasoned Worthy and a Hopkins who knows the playbook will be dangerous weapons by season's end. Add Pacheco and Hollywood Brown, plus Omenihu and (maybe) Watson on defense, and it would be easily the best roster of the last three years. Add that they have a great shot at the 1 seed, and I like their chances just fine. 10 hours ago, Generic_Bills_Fan said: lol I think there’s different tiers of ‘injury excuses’…the chiefs missing a corner that’s not even their best and getting exposed in the secondary is exponentially different than the bills losing so many linebackers that aj klein who had been chilling at home for months had to cancel a family rv vacation to start at MLB and missing their best corner on top of that. Literally not even debatable. just imagine a full strength bills team going against the chiefs down mcduffie,Bolton, tranquil and an extra linebacker of your choice and ask yourself honestly how that playoff game would’ve gone because that’s the chiefs equivalent of what happened to the bills 😂 wouldve been an absolute slaughter. Calling Milano/bernard/benford etc average players is pretty laughable. Terrell Bernard got all pro votes and Matt Milano was an all pro lol Nazeeh Johnson has been bad in place of Watson. He was picked on relentlessly. Rice might have been on pace to have the best season of any WR in the league. Hollywood Brown would (will?) have a big impact on this offense. Pacheco's explosiveness has been missed. And having their best edge rusher definitely would have helped in a game in which their front got no pressure. I'm not using injuries as an excuse, but to pretend that losing those players has little impact is ridiculous. Quote

One of the more underrated talking points that doesn't get talked about is buffalo earning the 2 seed 3 of the past 4 years and the NFL decided to change the rules right when buffalo got Josh Allen....
