The Chiefs definitely did not play vanilla. Indeed on defense this was as unique a plan as they've ever run against us. Now you can say "mmm maybe it didn't work" that's fine. But it wasn't "it didn't work because we just played our standard plays." That is far from what happened. 

 

As for did the Bills unload their full arsenal... no, but we called more shot plays than any other game this season. Obviously we took some of those shots and Josh came off some others and checked down because nobody was open so we pushed the envelope in that regard which someone might take as "emptying the bag" but it wasn't like they were particularly crazy new designs. It was some play action, a rollout they missed Morris on and a double move by Coop. Wasn't re-designing the wheel.

I can see why they held back. No reason why a multiple SB team would want to join the perfect record elite. Nobody wants that.

MVP Josh Allen and the bills take the opening kickoff and score in 5 plays. Allen hits Cooper on the first play of the game for 40 yards down to the KC 30. Allen later hits Shakir on a corner route to go up 7-0. On the next series mahomes gets a bad snap and fumbles with buffalo getting the ball deep in KC territory. Allen hits Coleman for another quick TD and a 14-0 lead. 

 

Kansas City then drives down the field and tries to calm the game down by getting a field goal. Buffalo responds by changing up the game plan and going no huddle. Mixing cook runs and a few catches for Kincaid buffalo scores another TD with a deep fade to Kincaid as he barely gets two feet in. The crowd is louder than it's ever been. 

 

Von Miller and Greg Rousseau take over with back to back sacks. 

 

Buffalo heads into halftime up 27-10. 

 

A Mahomes series ends in Buffalo territory with a surprise Kelce drop as KC desperately went for it on 4th down. Buffalo puts the game away on a 27 yard TD run behind Spencer Brown on a sprint draw to go up 34-10. 

 

McDermott gets a Gatorade shower as Ed Oliver and Von Miller hold McDermott to keep him from getting away. Tim Russert smiles from the heavens above and the city of buffalo 🦬 melts from the joy and celebration.

I’ve been saying it all season. That team has serious flaws. They won on a blocked FG, a guys toe being OB, a OPI, a coin toss ect

 

They have had an unbelievable lucky break season. They are flawed and are going to get exposed sooner or later. If a beat up Bills team can put up 30 on them, teams are going to start figuring it out. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them drop a game to or two more this year

as for the chiefs fans. wrgaf about their fans, they can all rot for all I care. I thought I had a deep seeded hatred for the fins, a 20 game 10 year hell (the elation after finally getting the win and the goal posts going down was one for the ages though) or brady and the 33-3 domination over his career. no, I hate the chiefs, their pansy ass QB and I hold on to the hope this will be JA and the bills year to have another chance at them in the postseason with it going in the bills favor.

In the playoffs the Bills have made some critical error, either in executing a play or a head scratching error in judgment or in hindsight a poor decision. For me, the game just seemed different this time. This Chief's team might be 9-1 but they have some glaring flaws unlike previous teams. If the Bills come at them with a full and healthy roster in the playoffs and play the game with the same aggressive and fearless attitude, I like our chances.

I agree. I have a feeling that the Ravens and Steelers will be more of a challenge. I am not saying the Bills can't beat those teams as they definitely can. I just think the Ravens and Steelers will give the Bills their biggest challenge if they meet in the playoffs.
