No- I mean adding Amari cooper

yes, his 3 games, 10 targets, 7 catches really turned around a WR room that had to that point been the "worst in franchise history"...

You’re late to the party and clearly don’t understand the past conversations- chiming in clueless.

Does anyone smarter than me know if his reduced playing time (due to the injury) will affect our comp pick?

It's a good question.  It does affect the pick.  How much I haven't a clue.

https://russellstreetreport.com/salarycap/nfl-glossary/#:~:text=That sets the round in,games missed due to injury).

Comp Picks are awarded at the ends of rounds 3 through 7.  The formula for determining the value of those picks is somewhat of a mystery as only some parameters are contained in the league’s CBA, but it appears that the main criteria is the average yearly salary of the contract the UFA signed with his new team.  That sets the round in which the Comp Pick is initially awarded.  From there, the pick can go up or down a round based on performance, measured by post season awards or lack of playing time (including games missed due to injury).

when was the worst WR roster in team history?

It's unfortunate for Gabe and kinda' sad actually (other than he's getting PAID well).

You can sort of see the horizon of his career winding down already.  There's just up and coming younger and better WRs that are going to push him out, especially if he's not healthy and playing.

According to several sources, Gabe Davis has a torn meniscus and is out for the season. Ironic, isn't it?

So he’s going to have the same production he did in Buffalo for the second half of last season.

Depends who you talk to-  some think that this years WR unit is our worst in the last 40+ years.

Statistically, the passing game hasn't been good the last two weeks, you say?

At the very best, that's deeply questionable. Not to mention that your idea here of laying all the blame for any passing game problems on the receivers is excellent evidence that you're nursing a severe case of confirmation bias. The blame (and the credit) for the passing game goes to the receivers ... and the tight ends, and the RBs, and the QB and the OL. It's a team game. Pretending all of it's on the WRs says an awful lot more on you and some deeply flawed logic you want to cling to than it does about the WRs.

In any case, we averaged 271 yards per game passing in those two games. Know where averaging 271 yards passing would rank a team this year? Numero uno.

Our completion percentage in those games was around league average and almost exactly the same as our completion percentage for the whole season.

We racked up 262 pass yards against KC. Can you name another team that did better against the Chiefs? Oh, yeah, one, the Ravens managed to eke out five more passing yards than we did against that Chiefs D. Aren't the Ravens throwing the ball pretty well this year?

We put up 30 points against KC, despite them basically shutting down our running backs. Cook went 9 for 20, Ty Johnson 5 for 18, and Ray Davis 5 for 11. Yet we put up 30 points. Our passing game got the job done at a high level against the very tough KC defense. Josh's running too, but the pass game worked very well.

And yeah, you can say that we threw three INTs in those two games, but one of the three was from Josh getting hit in the shoulder as he threw, the second against Indy was a bad throw, and the INT against KC was on some kind of communication problem on a throw to Knox (who is not a receiver). That's not on the receivers.

Indy/KC

An ugly 1 TD 3 INT line with just 7 ypa.....so they subsequently needed an excessive 77 pass attempts the last two weeks(inflating bulk stats to 271 per game) and also an unsustainable 10 rushing attempts per game for Josh Allen.   And that was with absolutely perfect passing conditions.   In a dome one week and a rare zero-wind impact home game.

TN/Sea

4 TD 1 INT 9 ypa and 30 more pass yards per game and subsequently just 5 rushes per game for Allen in the two weeks with both Cooper and Coleman together.   And the TN game was very wind impacted.   The passing game was much more efficient.   As it also was to a lesser extent in the Miami game with at least Coleman fully healthy.   Not having those guys healthy has turned them back into the kind of offense they were down the stretch last year,  which was predicated on JA being used as a battering ram in the run game.

And (last weekend) being reliant on explosives/third and long completions, a la the Dorsey Era.

Gabe Davis is a guy who I think returns in 2-3 seasons for cheap in his lethal #4 role.

I do not think this is far fetched.

yeah they converted something like eight third and 8 or more plays.   It was absurd.  It was NOT how you draw it up.   And all of the analysis about how dominant the Bills were or how good the coaching was misses the point entirely.   Allen willed them to victory.   If he doesn't get that first down/TD at the end they lose and we know it.   That chaotic football is entertaining but the guy has taken a beating this season they need to get the passing game in order down the stretch.

I would assume the coaches themselves would agree that it was not a sustainable way to play on offense - they were NOT on schedule at all, and in particular the first down play calling was atrocious.

Sacrificing the amount of first downs they did to set up a deep shot to Quintin Morris?  I mean, c'mon bro.   I heard some Bills analyst say that the amount of wasted runs into the line wasn't egregious because only like 55% of the first downs were run plays.   But they threw 40 passes and Allen had 12 rushes.  The volume of wasted plays was too much.
