WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Obviously we have the benefit of hindsight but man, does it look like Beane chose to right time to cut bait on the departing vets: Diggs: out of the season, was 3rd option Davis: out of the season, underperformed on the woeful Jags Poyer: gifted two big plays to let us win, Miami fans hate him Morse: doing well but stuck on the Jags Dodson: waived now on the Phins Dane Jackson: buried on the bench I know there's luck involved but I can't think of anyone who left who would up in a better situation 1 Quote
TheCockSportif Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Maybe the Bills got kinda lucky (in terms of injuries) thus far this year. While I get the karmic aspect of former players being done for the season, last year at this time I was wondering who was doing to play D for this team. Quote

Jerry Jabber Posted November 18 Posted November 18 I don’t wish injuries on anyone. Hope Gabe has a speedy recovery. 1 Quote

I wonder where all the posters who were whining about the Bills signing him have gone. Quote

And we’ve only seen them on the field together for a millisecond. Let’s hope they can all be there come playoffs @Mr. WEO maybe you could start a gofundme for him? It did significantly transform them for a couple games and their potential going forward. The hardest receiving weapons to find are the boundary receivers. Acquiring Cooper as Coleman was also breaking out has very much colored our view of the weapons around Allen. In lesser roles and against lesser defenders the other players are much more impactful. Statistically, the passing game the past two weeks with Coleman out and Cooper limited has not been good. Quote

And Kincaid for a handful of plays. Add both of those guys and I think we’d be decent, with Samuel now finally becoming an actual factor 1 Quote

We've had our full share of injuries, seems to me. Milano (IR), Smoot (4 games, IR), Solomon (2 games), Taron Johnson (4 games plus most of a 5th), Terrel Bernard (3 games plus most of a 4th), Spector (IR), Carter (IR) And that's not touching the offensive side of the ball, where Coleman, Cooper and Kincaid have all missed multiple games and Samuel is reportedly playing with a turf toe. True. All true. Still, something is different here this year. Maybe other teams have regressed and the Bills are just playing solidly and hanging in (it's a distinct possibility). I'm not predicting a SB win, and I think that we all know better. While I was more in the camp of "the Bills have no depth" heading into this season, I think that they actually... have depth. And that's why they're in it. Quote
