This dude is playing fantastic. I figured he needed his own thread. What difference to have a smart playmaking LB out there, and not 6'5" freak of nature who is only 18 years old and who loves to injure his own teammates more than opposing players. I can't wait for Milano and Bernard to man the middle together... And I am also happy it's not Edmunds out there.

Remember when this place anointed him as a "BUST", and that once again Brandon Beane doesn't know how to draft?

He wins with his brain more than his body. Thank you Dave Aranda for giving your buddy Sean McDermott the inside scoop on this player. I'll be shocked if he isn't a long term fixture of this defense.

There's no way Edmunds gets that 3rd down sack or makes that INT last night. Bernard is so fun to watch.

Our defense just isn't the same when he's not out there.

Makes me so sad thinking about him not playing against the Chiefs in the playoffs last year.

It was the difference between a win & loss. Just like Kelce went off in the SB after Greenlaw had the most fluke achilles injury in history. How do the Chiefs get so lucky year after year???

Luck always seems to follow good team around. It's part of what makes them good.  It was the same way with Brady and the Pats.  Things always seem to go their way.

I'll go one better and say the whole team is fun to watch this year.......they look loose and look like they are having fun.

It's cause he hasn't had time to grow up yet why are you so hard on the young man! He's only 18 now!

This is the only worry about the kid

Great player…I just worry that Bernard has a Milano trajectory in terms of always being injured…that’s the problem with small, fast LBs

agreed. There’s a thread about that.

Not just Bernard. Losing Benford at the start of that game was the bigger killer. We knew 43 wasn’t playing going in.

I will admit to having been way wrong on him. Absolutely love the guy.

200.webp

I wonder how many more are willing to admit they were wrong. He was not a popular guy around here after his first year. That’s why it’s so ridiculous to label guys after 1 year, I’m glad he got his shot and is proving a lot of people on here wrong
