Josh Allen Punched in the head two weeks in a row

For all of you who replied that the player was going for the ball and that this is no big deal, I disagree. 

 

If a player is going at a QB to block a pass, but hits the QB in the head it is a penalty. 

 

This should be no different. 

 

As a player you are responsible for the outcome of your actions.

I think this makes us appreciate the Taron Johnson punch-out from Raheem Mostert even more, cause he landed that square on the ball.

This was my first interpretation as well. 

If Josh doesn't start to go down just before that, then the punch would've been at the same height as where the ball was when he was upright.

Fines are levied on Wednesday, so probably tomorrow you'll see the same fine that the Colts guy got, about $11k.

Regardless of fact or intent, this is a play we will remember for a long, long time. The Chiefs, at home on a National stage on 4th and 2 late in the 4th quarter, and then THAT happened!

For some of you who might remember, it’s a little like Ahmad Rashad getting the TD to beat the Raiders late on Monday Night Football.  “WAIT! Did that REALLY just happen???”

I was at that game and saw the Bills come back twice to win.  It was a long time ago and I don't recall whether Rashad had to make a spectacular catch.  I know he used a very good move to get separation, and Ferguson hit him.

It took forever to get out of the parking lots, but we listened to the post-game show on the radio. I could not have been happier anywhere else than stuck in traffic that night!

Was 18 yrs youngin there with a few friends. .. Directly under the moron climbing up to the net. ..... All these yrs later, I really didn't see a sht load goin on with this thread. ..... "oh gee. Not a punch to the helmet"

💯 I’m not against trying to punch the ball out but if you miss and punch someone in the helmet that should be a penalty. No different than trying to make a tackle and grabbing the face mask or barely touching the QB’s head with your hand when rushing.  If the NFL is about player safety no one should be getting punched in the helmet. 
 

Secondly, the fine against the Colts player was hardly a fine. Rapp got fined like 17K for the bs call against Miami when the dolphins RB initiated the contact to the head.
