Beast Posted Monday at 01:14 PM Posted Monday at 01:14 PM I am not going to re-hash Bass’s issues but, if they continue, keep an eye on what Sharader does with the Chiefs. It’s almost like the Bills can use Shrader’s performance as an audition and, if he does well, we have a safety net heading down the home stretch. 1 2 Quote

ddaryl Posted Monday at 02:23 PM Posted Monday at 02:23 PM (edited) https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/_/year/2024 well we have 1.3 million left in salary cap room If we cut Tyler Bass then the dead cap is $7.38 million https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/player/_/id/47784/tyler-bass Do the math. We ain't doing squat. Its Bass till the end and ther is NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT THIS. Edited Monday at 02:26 PM by ddaryl 1 Quote

What a Tuel Posted Monday at 02:39 PM Posted Monday at 02:39 PM Since the Jets game Tyler Bass is 10/10 field goals and 15/17 for PATs and you guys still insist on cutting him for a mythical better kicker who won't miss anything. You guys are ruthless and reckless. 8 1 3 Quote

When I watched the XP miss yesterday back that is absolutely not on the kicker. Funky snap and hold. I do think he missed it though. Whether Bass made that kick reminds me of that gold and white / blue and black dress image that went around a few years ago where some see the same image one colour and some see it the other. We all saw the same thing it looked like he missed to some or he made to others. 2 Quote

You guys are ruthless and reckless. Exactly. We haven't seen this UDFA kick a field goal yet but somehow folks were so impressed with their XPs that we need to have him on our watchlist. The cap reality is that Bass is here for the rest of the season. He's not the best kicker, but he's not had a Justin Tucker day like the Ravens just had. Honestly, Bass missing a single XP will rarely matter so long as the Bills are consistently hitting that 30 point threshold. 2 Quote

Bass is also clicking at a better clip than Jake Moody, Josh Myers and Ka’imi Fairbarin. Edited Monday at 03:05 PM by JGMcD2 1 2 Quote

Charles Romes Posted Monday at 03:53 PM Posted Monday at 03:53 PM Bass is what, 19/22 on the year with a 61 game winner into the wind that would have been good from 70. If he were declining due to diminishing leg strength like an old Hauschka or Tucker it would be one thing, but his short misses could be a matter of reining in the power, which is fixable. Next year, they could move the kickoff back and guys that can blast it out of the end zone may not be a dime a dozen. I fear if we let him out of the building we will be facing another Gary Anderson or Dustin Hopkins for years to come. 1 Quote

The dead cap is substantially less next year so that's the likely time to move on. Quote

Are you saying of Bass pulled a groin we wouldn’t be able to sign a kicker? Sorry I didn’t add caps like you did. Edited Monday at 06:16 PM by Beast Quote
LabattBlue Posted Monday at 06:20 PM Posted Monday at 06:20 PM (edited) Is there any other kicker who lines up for XP’s at the left hash? What kind of mess is he mechanically when he doesn’t kick it from dead center between the hashes. Great that he made the 61 yarder two weeks ago, but he is a train wreck waiting to happen. Dirt cheap unexperienced kicker that nobody else wants either, plus we have used up salary cap money leaving us witth less than we had back on that day We are not goiing into the playoffs with someone who is not clea>rly better, and we are not going to sign anyone that is at this point As for capital letters. I was emphasizing.... if that is a problem please put me on IGNORE!!! This is the guy we let go.. The Bills brass sees what is happening in practice and they let him go https://www.nfl.com/players/lucas-havrisik/stats/ Quote
