This is exactly it......i watch college ball religiously and there is absolutely zero shining lights coming out at QB next draft.......a lot of backups maybe, but no starters and any NFL team that is forced to get a QB is already putting themselves in a hole.

 

not sure why Cam Ward isn't getting 1st round worthy cred in this thread.

 

he played 5 years of college ball, including Wash St and Miami, 35 starts.  He actually declared for the draft last year then decided to play another year at Miami, where his is tearing it up.  he's 6'2" 223--decent size and can run some. 

 

He's better than Bryce Young was.  Anthony Richardson is a disaster---but this was predictable: guy never really played QB much. Ward is not as good a prospect as thought to predictable busts were??

Are there any franchise type QBs in this draft?  Granted I thought Bo Nix was going to be awful in the NFL, but no one really looks the part.

 

Here are probably the top 10 names - Sanders, Ward, Ewers, Milroe, Nussmeier, Beck, Gabriel, Rourke, Klubnik and Dart.  Besides Sanders, and maybe Ward and Rourke, has any one really impressed?  Klubnik and Ewers got destroyed by GA's defense.  Beck has often looked pedestrian this season.  Ward has been great for Miami, but who has he played?  The same can be said for Rourke at Indiana, but I admit I've been impressed with his arm accuracy.  Gabriel isn't the reason Oregon is winning and he's short and slow.

I know we love to dig on the Dolphins and Tua, but honesty if he doesn't get hurt I think they are at worst 5-5, but likely 6-4.

 

Would they be challenging us?  No.  However, they would be in a playoff spot right now.

 

They are not a great team and they certainly don't have good things coming up on the horizon, but I still think Tua has some talent and leadership, and some skill at some spots.  

 

They are going to be "fine" with Tua, but they just won't break through.
