Pretty much all of the QBs that could be coming out are above average to good. Nothing that would really make anyone move up to get. Someone will draft a QB in the 1st round. I just don't think there are any that are worth it. This is exactly it......i watch college ball religiously and there is absolutely zero shining lights coming out at QB next draft.......a lot of backups maybe, but no starters and any NFL team that is forced to get a QB is already putting themselves in a hole. 1 Quote

Kelly to Allen Posted Wednesday at 04:43 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:43 PM Imagine passing on Marino, Mahomes and Allen lol. That's crazy 🤣 Quote
Bleedingreennc Posted Wednesday at 04:46 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:46 PM Im good with using next year as a down year and prep for drafting a QB the following season. 2 Quote

The Dolphins are outside of the top 10. New England seems to have their QB, already. Basically, nobody in the AFC East is picking a top-of-the-class QB, this year. It's like watching us wither at a .500 or so record for 17 years: Never bad enough to get an answer QB; never good enough to make a squeak in the playoffs. I'm just saying that this is a lovely time to be a Bills fan, and being on the other side of hopelessness is a damn good feeling! The Jets could get desperate and trade up. The question is who they bring in as GM/HC. 1 Quote

Maybe, but a purposeful pre draft statement that “I will not play for the Jets” would make it clear that drafting him will be problematic at best, and that a draft and trade could very well happen, if they did draft him, and it would not surprise me at all if they by passed him altogether under such circumstances. Ethan in Cleveland Posted Wednesday at 06:15 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:15 PM Just a guess but I think they will go veteran FA and address Oline early and often in the draft. Quote

If that happens, let's hope whoever they trade with fleeces the crap outta Gang Spleen... Er... Green 😂 Yeah, I mean the HC/GM combo is going to be pivotal to the AFCE's future, but with Johnson & Johnson at the helm, I like our chances 😎 Quote

billsfan89 Posted Thursday at 12:34 AM Posted Thursday at 12:34 AM Jets are going to be in the top 10 most likely and they will be possibly trading up. So I don't rule out the Jets taking a QB. Miami is going to win at least 2-3 more games if Tua stays healthy and I think they will be spending draft picks on building the team around him. The Pats likely are going to do the same with Maye. Big Turk Posted Thursday at 12:39 AM Posted Thursday at 12:39 AM (edited) No way of knowing this, the Jets could always moves players and picks to do so. Edited Thursday at 12:39 AM by Big Turk Quote
Success Posted Thursday at 02:06 AM Posted Thursday at 02:06 AM On a somewhat related note - the Maye hype is completely off the charts in New England. I was checking one of their boards, and there is just about consensus that he'll be a top 3 QB in the league next year. All he needs is a WR and LT, apparently. I mean, I've watched him play the past few weeks - he has made some nice plays, and has skills. But he hasn't really shown a thing yet. They want a return to the Brady years so badly. Quote

The college game is a lot more about the physical tools. There are plenty of excellent college prospects at the QB position coming but this isn't a particularly good class, IMO. Some of these class of 2025 HS kids are going to force currently good QB's to change teams in the next few months. Transfer portal is going to be crazy at QB. College schemes are very simple...hence hard to evaluate QBs if they have "It" unless they have played in a pro-style offense like in LSU (Burrows, Tua etc). Josh was hard to evaluate because he was a 1-read guy at Wyoming. There will be QBs with the "It" factor but may be having a noodle arm like Trent Edwards...Translating them into NFL players is also very hard...except for exceptions like Purdy, Brady etc. 1 Quote

Jets don't typically draft QBs well. The jets cant develop one. That's why jet QBs play well elsewhere. Quote
Mr. WEO Posted Thursday at 07:55 PM Posted Thursday at 07:55 PM there are 6 more games. Jets could easily finish with the worst record. Quote
Billsatlastin2018 Posted Thursday at 07:59 PM Posted Thursday at 07:59 PM Aaaaaand… this year has been a ball breaking tough sked. Anything can change, but next year, especially the Home games, looks pretty sweet!
