BigAl2526 Posted Monday at 06:49 AM Posted Monday at 06:49 AM Buffalo Rumblings has an interesting article on playoff numbers for the Bills: The Bills and the Playoffs The article points out what we all know, that the Bills are close to clinching the division. Two wins by Buffalo, two losses by Miami or a win and a loss by each would do it. Miami is second place in the division with 4 wins and 6 losses. By winning out, they can get to eleven wins, but Buffalo owns the first tie breaker over them (head to head). New England and the Jets have 3 wins and 8 losses. If one of them could win out, they can only tie Buffalo's record of 9 wins. If Buffalo takes care of things with respect to Miami, The Jets and Cheatriots are history too. Do you wonder if the Bills could win a wild card berth? It would be difficult. If Buffalo loses out, 9 wins might do it, but it's not likely. If Buffalo win's just one more game, I think they could sill win a wild card spot, though as I read the article, I don't think it agrees. Clearly, it's much easier at this point to win the division than win a wild card spot. Quote

Buffalo still isn't playing their best football and I think when the playoffs start I think the bills and Allen are going to go full 1989 49ers in the playoffs and destroy everyone. We would've done that in the 21 playoff if tre white never got hurt.... Maybe I'm a homer but I truly believe that if we go in fully healthy We also have real depth where if a couple guys go down I still think we will win it all. BLeonard Posted Monday at 07:00 AM Posted Monday at 07:00 AM The Bills could clinch the Division before they play their next game, if the following four outcomes happen: Week 12 - Patriots beat Dolphins Week 13 - Packers Beat Dolphins, Colts beat Patriots, Seahawks beat Jets Dolphins would be at 8 losses, with the Jets and Pats being at 9 losses. 3 1 Quote

Doc Brown Posted Monday at 08:58 AM Posted Monday at 08:58 AM I think we end up with the 2 seed and will face the Broncos. So glad the Bengals lost last night. Best case scenario if we can't catch the Chiefs is Steelers win the North and the Ravens get the 5 seed. This is my prediction which I think is where they actually seed now... 1.) Chiefs 2.) Bills 3.) Steelers 4.) Texans 5.) Ravens 6.) Chargers 7.) Broncos Final four would be Ravens @KC and Steelers @Buff. Maybe the Ravens take them out and we host them for the AFC Championship game. 6 1 1 1 Quote

Not sure I’m quite as high on the Bills but it’s a nice change from all the negative nabobs. Quote

They have a short week and play Saturday They then play on Wed , Christmas day 4 days later. Then they have a flex game TBD. I think KC loses 3 games this year. If they just drop one of Carolina, the raiders or the chargers, then 4 losses is very possible... 3 games in 10 days is insane. Especially when the competition in their last 3 games is much harder. I know we're sky high right now but it's not inconceivable that we lose two of our next three and then sweep the remainder of the year to finish 13-4. I think the Chiefs finish 14-3 or 15-2. I hate my prediction because I try to be positive but the Chiefs are battle tested. I'd project us as the one seed if the darn Broncos could execute a short field goal. 1 Quote

Bills are in contention for the one seed and there is zero chance they collapse enough to lose the division. Barring an injury to Allen of course. Quote

It's the NFL and weird things happen but I think we're considerably better right now than San Fran and LA. 14-3 for the Bills is my prediction, either doing what's expected and losing to Detroit on the road or unexpectedly winning that game and dropping another random one. Pats beat Fins next week, then all 3 L over thxgvg weekend. If dolphins split thrn they will need to W against SF to clinch. 1 Quote

The reality is 2 things. 1) When you beat the Champs, you rise to at least- #1 status in the Conference. 2) Unfortunately, the clown Broncos couldn’t kick a FG to ensure a certain #1 for the Bills. This leaves a Bills sked of: 49ers (should be win), Rams (favoured to Win) and @ Lions (going to the SB)… should be a Loss. v.s. KC … Chargers & Houston at home …. favoured, will need an upset, maybe Chargers. @ Steelers on Christmas- Best opportunity, @ Broncos … favoured and would be an upset. PLUS, you know need to be concerned about the Steelers… playing out of their minds and sneaking by. So, we’d like the #1. After that Broncos FUBAR, don’t see it. Quote
bills6969 Posted Monday at 01:36 PM Posted Monday at 01:36 PM Getting the 1 seed will be tough. We don’t control our destiny. Unless we win out, we need Cheifs to lose two more games. The only two games I can see them losing are their final two games of season @Pitt @ Denver but I’d be shocked if they lose back to back games. Quote
