They'll have to do some zone and two high. They have to hope we make a mistake basically... If they try that same man press in the playoffs and blitzing when everyone is up and running, it will be like the jags game earlier this year. They will get run off the field and the game over at halftime. It won’t be nearly that easy, but I love the optimism! I know it’ll be nice to be near full strength when we play them again. That’s hardly ever the case. *knock on wood* that major injuries are in the rear view mirror for our impact/pivotal players. 2 Quote
Charles Romes Posted November 18 Posted November 18 The best part is VanDemark was developed from scratch in the Kromer lab without expenditure of any draft capital. When VanDemark was being developed, KC squandered a 2 and 3 trying to address the tackle position, and both high draft picks look like total busts. 4 2 4 Quote

NewEra Posted November 18 Posted November 18 4 hours ago, Brand J said: Not against the Chiefs. They haven’t allowed a single RB over 60 yards all year if I heard the broadcast team correctly. Part of that is the scheme they run, they always seem to have at least 5 on the LoS and then the back 7 is very quick to trigger on a rush attempt. If we had a speedster down in/down out to get behind their defense, their aggressiveness could be had. We scored 30. Their defense was had last night. It doesn’t have to just be had with deep balls all night 3 hours ago, Brand J said: It won’t be nearly that easy, but I love the optimism! Eastport bills Posted November 18 Posted November 18 He was as good as Brown without the presnap penalties. Going against a great D-line and they sent their best at him, he deserves a game ball. We have some nice depth on the O-line. 1 Quote

Completely stonewalled big Chris Jones. Jones won a couple matchups but I was impressed. We will generate a better run game once Spencer Brown is back. He handled Jones 1v1 on the 4th and 2. Allen ran right behind him. Thats the type of play we need in a big moment. Jones did win a lot but Torrence made some good blocks as well. Quote
CSBill Posted November 18 Posted November 18 The fact that he was hardly mentioned during the game is a victory. He would be starting for many other teams right now. 1 Quote

Part of me wonders if it was due to not being flexible at what position he plays. Obv thats a high trait for Kromer, and it shows with the rest of that group... and at the same time, having a guy who's skillset goes deep instead of wide raises a players floor and ceiling. Side note: great way to make yourself indisposable (stupid this word isnt in dictionary) in your 9-5 career too Quote

Also, I think Beane has actually gotten better at drafting talent. If Cole Bishop becomes a quality starter this draft class may be a home run. 1 Quote
