Special K Posted Monday at 05:30 AM Posted Monday at 05:30 AM Surprised no one started a thread for this guy. First start against one of the best Defenses in the league, and he really held his own. No penalties, no obvious mistakes.....I guess the coaching staff had enough confidence in him to allow Spencer Brown to get that extra week to heal up for the final stretch. He certainly rewarded their confidence! Good Job, kid!!! 26 16 7 12 Quote

Brand J Posted Monday at 05:34 AM Posted Monday at 05:34 AM Always thought RVD looked good every time he played. The fact that Grable surpassed him on the depth chart speaks volumes for how good the rookie can be. Wonder how his health is. 2 2 Quote

ghostwriter Posted Monday at 06:11 AM Posted Monday at 06:11 AM He’s no Spencer Brown but he wasn’t a liability either. 1 Quote

NickelCity Posted Monday at 06:38 AM Posted Monday at 06:38 AM (edited) Also happy Gouriage got a game check. I'll take the mantle of having been his biggest off-season fan 😂 Edited Monday at 12:32 PM by NickelCity 1 1 Quote

GreggTX Posted Monday at 07:26 AM Posted Monday at 07:26 AM We may not have the best OT's in the NFL, but we have several guys that are solid. VDM played well. I believe Grable will be a starter some day and a good one. I think, however, the real story is the continuous improvement of Spencer Brown. I think he's still trending up. 3 5 Quote

Also, I think Beane has actually gotten better at drafting talent. 6 3 2 1 Quote

But to your larger point I'm so happy with the OLine group. Such an important part of a championship team Edited Monday at 12:32 PM by NickelCity 2 Quote

Such an important part of a championship team I saw multiple times Torrence was one on one with Chris Jones and Torrence completely destroyed him. Completely stonewalled big Chris Jones. Jones won a couple matchups but I was impressed. We will generate a better run game once Spencer Brown is back. 6 1 3 Quote

They haven’t allowed a single RB over 60 yards all year if I heard the broadcast team correctly. Part of that is the scheme they run, they always seem to have at least 5 on the LoS and then the back 7 is very quick to trigger on a rush attempt. If we had a speedster down in/down out to get behind their defense, their aggressiveness could be had. 2 Quote

Come playoff time it will be unleashed But I respect your opinion. Edited Monday at 07:40 AM by Kelly to Allen 1 Quote

They'll have to do some zone and two high. They have to hope we make a mistake basically... If they try that same man press in the playoffs and blitzing when everyone is up and running, it will be like the jags game earlier this year. They will get run off the field and the game over at halftime. 2 Quote
