Is the “Bills window is closed” talk finally over?

Did this year finally kill the “window is closed” talking point? I never hear that kind of talk about the Chiefs or even the Ravens or Bengals. Is it finally dead for the Bills?

How tho. How is the window shut for 28 year old Allen but wide open for 41 year old Rodgers before the season started??? The media kept repeating it over and over but only for buffalo lol

 

Why is it open for mahomes into infinity but not Allen. It's a weird talking point that is basically something a complete moron says.

It was never a rebuilding year.   The media said it,  for a number of reasons,  most of which were not logical,  and a bunch of fans latched onto it because they wanted to lower the bar for the team.   Fans can be funny like that.    A majority of TSW posters thought 2017 was being set up to be a "tank" season by McBeane.   It was rather obvious by the extremely veteran roster that they took to camp that they were just going to try to Jauron Ball their way thru the schedule but anticipating an intentionally crafted 4-12 season made it easy for fans to lower expectations and potential disappointment.

Because they need to have things to talk about so you watch and click and comment.  The Bills moving on from Diggs and having some pretty large questions at WR made that an easy conversation to have.  Sort of like having the theory of Aaron Rodgers with the other really solid weapons he has made that an easy conversation to have at the time.

 

Mahomes just won back to back Super Bowls and started the season 9-0, of course nobody is going to talk about his window closing even though, in reality, that whole team is different without a productive Kelce and he's showing his age.  Reid is 66 and won't coach forever.  Chris Jones is an absolute key to their defense and he's 31 next year at a position that takes a lot of wear and tear also with a massively growing cap hit over the next couple years.  If they don't win it this year you might hear a whiff of that come up because they have a bit of a reload coming too.  They're 9-1 right now but have been whistling through the graveyard quite a bit.  Are they biding their time or are they really just down a tick from their recent past?  They still have a number of difficult games left. We will see.

National media are moving the goal posts.  It quickly gone back to "can't beat the Chiefs in the playoffs?"  That's what it will always be until proven otherwise.

What were the Bills supposed to do forfeit the game or pretend it’s preseason?

The media in their never ending quest to hype up the jets and dolphins lol. The national media seems to never really know what’s going on with Buffalo.  For example they probably saw Gabe Davis and Poyer/Hyde leaving as huge losses but none of those guys were great last year

What’s gonna happen if the bills are in the afc championship and the chiefs don’t make it that far 🤣 that’s definitely seeming possible..  

 

and a team like the bengals who have beaten mahomes in the playoffs is likely not even gonna make it to the playoffs this year…does that make them better than the chiefs still? Lol

This was a great win! The team and fanbase can enjoy this for a couple of weeks. We all know the true test is in the postseason. This win hasn’t changed any of that.

I don’t think anyone believes they’re better than KC. It’s just that they have beaten KC in the postseason before so they’re living off that. No other team has so that’s the narrative that will continue until it changes.

if the bengals finished the job I’m all for hypin them up for sneaking past the chiefs in the playoffs but they didn’t

You can't pay attention to what the National media says, after the Bills made the Jaguars look like a college team playing in the NFL they were all on the window isn't closed and the Bills are the most complete team in the NFL. Then the Bills had the Ravens game, which was a lot of ***** all lining up for a very bad day it happens sometimes.

 

These last weeks the Chiefs could maybe go undefeated.....yeah that worked out.

I never thought it was. I also didn't think this was a rebuilding year. I got disagreed with quite a bit on here when I said we were still Super Bowl contenders when everyone was belly aching about how bad our WR corps was and how our safeties weren't playoff caliber etc etc. As long as Josh Allen is around this team will be a super bowl contender.

I’m with you. It’s pretty ridiculous that they’re still living off that win 3 seasons later. Losing to the Chargers might put an end to it. Now the media will focus on Pittsburgh. Just watch.
