Riverboat Ritchie Posted November 18 Posted November 18 I can not find a clip of replay but some are reporting that it was good. Was it? Quote
RiotAct Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Looked very similar to that XP by Fairbairn against us week 5 that they called good. 5 Quote
Punch Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Nantz and Romo thought it was good during the broadcast. I actually missed it. 1 2 Quote
Virgil Posted November 18 Posted November 18 It looked like it went directly over the right goal post, which would be good. No camera on the cross bar, so I don’t know how they would have overturned it. I think it was good 5 1 Quote

BuffaloRebound Posted November 18 Posted November 18 it’s an extremely subjective call when it’s above the goalpost, similar to when the ball is punted out of bounds and where they determine it went out. 2 Quote
Bruffalo Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Echoing what others have said here, it certainly looks like it could have been called good (had we not been playing the Chiefs, of course). 9 Quote
russ t. nail Posted November 18 Posted November 18 On broadcast from first angle looked good. Second angle looked like it maybe missed. I thought the snap was bad though, had to adjust and thought it threw off the timing. 6 Quote
MasterStrategist Posted November 18 Posted November 18 The entire operation of Reid/Martin/Bass looked just a bit off today. High snaps, snaps to the outside shoulder of Martin...did Martin get the ball spinned or were laces in? Bass does have a bad habit of pushing kicks to the right. But in today's NFL, still not sure why we can't have goalposts with cameras at the top. 4 7 Quote
That's No Moon Posted November 18 Posted November 18 With all the technology we have these days, that doesn't feel like something that should be so hard to determine anymore. It's not really that complex to put a camera in each goalpost pointing upward with a reticle on the output that shows if the ball passed to the inside or outside of the center of the post. Cameras are too expensive? OK. You could do the same thing with a laser. You'd see it hit the ball on its way past with the cameras they already have on the game. 7 3 4 Quote

gonzo1105 Posted November 18 Posted November 18 I thought he missed it but that’s just my opinion 2 Quote

Special K Posted November 18 Posted November 18 If they can put cameras in pylons, why can't they put a camera inide the top of both uprights looking straight up?? That way they would have a clear view of wether the ball went directly over the upright or not. Seems like a simple fix to me. 2 4 1 Quote
Beast Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Go back to the old H style goalposts and add another 5 to 10 feet in height to the uprights. 2 Quote
stevewin Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Its crazy they can't put a camera on each post to remove any doubt in these cases 2 2 Quote

Might be tough to make a call especially if there is just enough wind to make the uprights shake a bit. w 1 1 Quote
