transplantbillsfan Posted Monday at 01:36 AM Posted Monday at 01:36 AM Seriously... for weeks now, too. Can't keep him on the field when everyone is healthy obviously, which is kinda a shame with how he's playing 9 1 4 3 Quote
GunnerBill Posted Monday at 01:39 AM Posted Monday at 01:39 AM I think the past two weeks he has been outstanding. Found his niche as the specialist Dime. Really, really good. 9 1 Quote

billsfan89 Posted Monday at 01:41 AM Posted Monday at 01:41 AM He's been very good, McD has shown he knows how to develop corners consistently in fact with how solid Hamlin has played McD is showing he deserves full trust when it comes to all things secondary. 2 Quote
EmotionallyUnstable Posted Monday at 01:41 AM Posted Monday at 01:41 AM I also think he’s a great gunner and special teamer too. Hopefully he keeps it up 2 1 Quote

Simon Posted Monday at 01:48 AM Posted Monday at 01:48 AM He plays downhill very well and is always going to be fine when the play is in front of him. If he's asked to drop (or even play laterally) and track a play at the same time is when he finds himself in trouble. There's a handful of teams where the issue seems to raise its head. 2 2 Quote

That's exactly it, he's a poor man's taron Johnson, who has similar strengths and weaknesses but is just so much better. When can is playing some over the opponents 4th wr using his eyes and brain to switch the trigger he's an advantage position. Dropping back and reacting he's a weakness, but if he's in place to do what he gets done he closes windows real fast Quote
zow2 Posted Monday at 01:53 AM Posted Monday at 01:53 AM Gotta give McD, Beane credit. If they listened to the fans, Cam, the pride of UB pwould’ve been cut a few years ago. 1 1 Quote
CSBill Posted Monday at 01:54 AM Posted Monday at 01:54 AM Agree! Over the past 3-4 games, he has been one of the best defenders on the team. Quote
ghostwriter Posted Monday at 01:55 AM Posted Monday at 01:55 AM Great player, not just as a STs player either. Not a liability as a starter on defense. Quote

Agreed which is why we should leave the secondary to day 3 picks, UDFAs, and cheap vets. It's his specialty, use the premium resources elsewhere. Bit of an arbitrage, let's maximize it! Quote

Your version was a little too generous in my opinion. That said, as one of his early detractors, he’s having a great season. I no longer feel the need to wince and clench my… teeth… when I see him on the field. 1 1 1 Quote

I will argue that it was not just that play but he has been good for at least a month now and makes me glad we kept him and worked with him. For me personally I don't even blame him for the JJ catch because who could have defended that play? Quote

When it comes to drafting the Bills have been very good in the McD era and in the past 3 drafts from 2022-2024 look like they are on a heater (hard to tell on 2024 but the "early returns" look good) so whatever they are doing just keep it up. 1 Quote

These were his comments about it after the game, “I honestly thought it was over his head. Just got to be more aware of the situation. 4th and 22. Knock the ball down, bro,” said Lewis, adding an expletive or two in his response. “I’m not a selfish player, I don’t try to be a selfish player. I always try to put the team before me. Just gotta knock the ball down. Plain and simple.” 1 1 Quote

My thoughts are generally if a great player makes that kind of play, you give them credit and move on. Quote
