Can anyone with rewind/replay see if Miller gave up on a play on KC final drive?

Yes, that's the play I was talking about. Thanks for posting it. He would have pancaked Mahomes.

Guess we need something to complain about going into the bye week. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Man you couldn't be more wrong - I wasn't complaining, just talking about a play, right? Guess we need to not talk about football going into the bye week?

It looked like he was keeping Mahomes from running it back inside.

That's the result, but I don't think it was the intent 🙂

Anyone have the ability to replay that last drive by KC? It appeared to me on (I think) 2nd down that Miller flushed Mahomes out of the pocket to Mahomes' right, then Miller just gave up and started walking. Mahomes was then forced by our D near the sideline to turn back in toward the middle. If Miller hadn't given up on the play Mahomes would have turned right into Miller. Maybe I didn't see it all correctly -- I don't have replay/rewind. Anyone? Thanks.

My exact reaction on that play.  He just stops and stands there watching mahomes, instead of going after him.

I think you prefer pedal to the metal there but may be some argument for playing it as a contain type role- not knowing if mahomes could scoot inside or try to escape back. By slowing down he has paths to any direction he tries to escape and was unlikely to run him down otherwise

Yeah, possible. But he didn't really look to me like it was an "athletic" move to hold his lane. Anyway, sure I wanted petal to the metal on that play to just get Mahomes off the field. We didn't know what was coming after that play, only what was happening in that moment 🙂

Honestly, there were 2 guys closer to Mahomes on that play, I think in his mind, he probably didn't have much of a shot to get him anyway but you see him speed up once Mahomes moves inside

Im not disputing that. It’s just the moment he disengages it doesn’t seem like 100% there.

Like @warcodered said, he stops Mahomes there if he runs but you never know what’s happening. Was happy with the effort on a very similar situation to actually end the game, which is why I posted both sides of that coin.

Yeah that was gross.

He could have sacked Mahomie but stopped trying.

I've lost hope. That's the kind of play you bring him in to make against a rival. And instead he was just chillin' between the whistles.

I remember thinking that too, though now looking at it again there were two other players coming at him and Miller was in an actual good position to coral him if he somehow escaped. I don't know it was off of hurry up and he did seemed gassed.

I think he was exhausted after being held there and then he didn't want to overrun the play and let Mahomes escape.  Gets a pass as far as I'm concerned.

First I screamed at him/TV "WTH VON!" - then wrote a strongly worded post in GDT
