macnmotion Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Anyone have the ability to replay that last drive by KC? It appeared to me on (I think) 2nd down that Miller flushed Mahomes out of the pocket to Mahomes' right, then Miller just gave up and started walking. Mahomes was then forced by our D near the sideline to turn back in toward the middle. If Miller hadn't given up on the play Mahomes would have turned right into Miller. Maybe I didn't see it all correctly -- I don't have replay/rewind. Anyone? Thanks. 1 2 Quote
Tim Tindale Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Noticed it too. He looked gassed. Epenesa should have been in 2 2 Quote
russ t. nail Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I don’t have replay but that was 100% what I saw. I was yelling at vonn/the tv as the play was happening. He didn’t listen to me 2 1 1 Quote
Turf Toejam 34 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Quote Yeah, I seen that also---don't know what was happening there. 1 Quote
VaMilBill Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Yup. Miller would have had an absolute kill shot from behind. you gotta hustle every play against teams like KC 5 1 Quote
Ya Digg? Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago He did, but I Think he was gassed. He had a really good game, I’m not holding that against him 5 4 Quote

I'm not criticizing the game effort, was just wondering about that play. If he really was gassed, I hope the team takes notice and properly subs him more with someone who can hold a lane and continue pursuit late in the game. 4 Quote
Goin Breakdown Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I think aside from what you're talking about, he had a really good game. He was held a ton today and played through what he could when he wasn't being pancaked. 4 Quote

We had those chiefs d-linemen in head locks a lot today too. I don’t mind the refs letting that go both ways. 1 Quote

Sojourner Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago This is the last play, no lack of effort: This is the play I feel you are thinking of, definite lack of effort: 3 1 Quote
EmotionallyUnstable Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago He flashed a couple of times collapsing the pocket today. Actually, aside from a few occasions, I was very pleased with the DL pass rush and ability to rush under control and muddy the waters for Mahomes with nowhere to step up. That said, the play he loafed at the end is very annoying from a highly paid closer 2 1 Quote

I don't know it was off of hurry up and he did seemed gassed. 3 1 Quote

I don't know it was off of hurry up and he did seemed gassed. That’s a fair point, he probably does make a play if Mahomes doesn’t throw the ball. However, the minute he disengages he’s just jogging along. Playing that dude you have to give 100% or as close to the ability that you have left at the time. Same when you’re against any great QB. He knows this. That’s why I highlighted the last play too. Very similar in what’s unfolding but maximum effort on the 4th down in comparison to the 2nd. 2 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Looking at the play above, that seemed like fine effort. The guy gets double teamed and gets around it, but pushed way back out of the play, as Mahomes is scrambling even further forward. I am not sure there is any DE in the league that is running full-out at that point. The Play was clearly way past Him. 1 Quote
MPT Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Definitely gave up. He could have made the tackle easily if he had actually followed Mahomes. 3 Quote
