I don't like the Lions matchup at all for the Bills. A team that can run the ball with physicality and explosiveness, and also throw with timing and aggression...tough matchup for the Bills D. Optimism would hope their (Lions') mounting defensive injuries allow Allen and Co to put up mucho points and thereby force that potent Lions offense to be more one dimensional.

Goff is not Allen, they don't have an organic pass rush. They're definitely formidable. If they had Hutchinson I'd be more concerned

Big time missed facemask before the half, big drop not reviewed. Didn’t matter, Bills 9-2, baby!

Yep, it's both irritating that the facemask was missed and the non-catch not reviewed, and encouraging that neither of them mattered.

the best part is the bills did this without 2 of their top pass catchers and starting RT...   they will be coming back soon, copper get two weeks rest, and Milano is coming back. we haven't seen the best version of the 2024 bills yet

Everyone is jocking on McD for finally being aggressive but agressive ALL the time is just as predictable as being a wuss. In the first half, when McD faced a fourth-and-a-couple just a little over midfield he punted, pinning the Chiefs back to the 12. The point being, situationally, that was the right decision in a game where the Bills were clearly a cut above, not to give the Chiefs a cheapie to flip the momentum. TBH the game situation coaching from McDermott (sans the challenge on the DHop catch) was plus for NFL coaches. I haven't been able to say that a ton, but I generally agreed with all of his strategery today.

Now Brady... I guess it worked out in the end, but the key play of the game to me was the TD to Samuel. I think it was a 3rd down Spags sent the whole student body to blitz there because that's what he does and it almost always works. However the Bills line held JUST long enough for Allen to locate and deliver JUST into Samuels radius and of course he was wide wide open thanks to the blitz and scored.

That just castrated Spagnuolo, it took the biggest arrow out of his quiver... and that paid off later on 4th and 2 where he DIDN'T try to bring the pressure. In fact it was a terrific defensive call against the Brady swing pass that was called for the 40th time in the game to beat that predictable Spags jailbreak blitz - he zoned it off and it was a dead play on the snap. Allen just made another TFG play where the D makes the perfect call, and plays it perfectly, and Allen just beats it because he's Allen and the DC can only stand there and mutter "This *****in Guy!"

Saved me a bunch of typing.

I was waiting for someone to call this out.  Yep, that 4th and 2 play was a real "That Fu**in' Guy!" play.  Spagnuolo had the perfect defense called to counter that particular offensive play.  Then Joshua *****in' Allen took over and he had nothing.

How many NFL players - NFL players on the 4th rated D for points, 2nd for yards - had a chance and missed Josh on that play?  I believe there were 6.

That.  *****in'.  Guy.

It could just be me, but I thought Kermit was a bit........condescending....about the Bills in his press conference.

I think he just trying to compartmentalize the loss to be honest, i think Mahomes knows and respects the bills. However now the bills need to do it in the playoffs. so while it a great win and important win let just keep working out our team getting healthy and getting better.

I'm 100% convinced Josh's throwing hand is still hurt.  He as always guts it out and plays but he's feeling it.  Some of those off target throws validates this. Glad he has 2 weeks to shut it down.

He is a Unicorn.  He's our Unicorn.  Start building that bronze statue for the new stadium.

I think there are two different injuries..

The injury he sustained on his left hand (non throwing hand) during the Jacksonville game where he dived into the end zone and landed awkwardly on his left hand.  He keeps wearing the glove on that left hand.

There was a second injury reported by the sideline reporter in the 4th quarter where Josh appeared to injure his throwing WRIST (Romo even commented as to how this team is snake bit with Wrist injuries) and they showed Allen wincing with pain from that hand...but appeared to be shaking it off.   However, this happened after those missed throws).  It appeared that it was not affecting him rest of the game...
