11/17/24 Game 11 GAMEDAY! Bills vs Chiefs post game Thread

Props to McD and staff. They had the guys hyped and ready to play in all 3 phases from whistle to whistle.

 

Babich was able to dial up pressure all game. And Brady had the Offense clicking.

 

Great execution by the players all around (Bass, I have my eye on you). Also good to see VanDenmark hold his own and not miss a beat.

I don't like the Lions matchup at all for the Bills. A team that can run the ball with physicality and explosiveness, and also throw with timing and aggression...tough matchup for the Bills D. Optimism would hope their (Lions') mounting defensive injuries allow Allen and Co to put up mucho points and thereby force that potent Lions offense to be more one dimensional.

Most weeks I write various bullet points about various players and coaches.

I could do that this week. I could talk about how effectively the defensive line hemmed in Mahomes, how good the linebacker play was, how Knox and Samuel stepped up, how resilient the team was, etc, etc...

But I think this week I'll just say:

Joshua Patrick Allen. I am so glad that the best football player on planet earth is a Buffalo Bill. It is an absolute pleasure to get to watch his entire career unfold, and I doubt we'll ever see another player like him.

Enjoy him, Bills fans. 1 of 1.

I'm 100% convinced Josh's throwing hand is still hurt.  He as always guts it out and plays but he's feeling it.  Some of those off target throws validates this. Glad he has 2 weeks to shut it down.

Still hurt from what? It was his non throwing hand he broke in the first game.

He got hit in his throwing had halfway thru the Fins game. He was making "shake it off" fists during that game. He was seen tonight doing the same thing.  Even Romo noticed it.

that was when he got hit and i believe he fell/landed a bit awkwardly on it.   Romo made the comment something about buffalo and wrist injuries

Apologies if already stated here (I've read a fair bit but not all of this thread) but Von is choked up in the post-game conference. Perhaps compounded not only by the win but by passing his idol Derrick Thomas in the career sack list.

for the most part i was cool with Josh's play.  On that int.  there was a player onthe left side line that would have probably scored if he would have looked that way.

 

mostly i feel like brady calls some good plays and a lot of blah plays that get bailed out.

That Texans game cooled some of the lions hype for me…Goff looked like an absolute potato.  They didn’t look particularly great on offense against GB recently either not that they really had to but Detroit does basically everything they can to run up the score so it’s worth mentioning.  
 

I think this is a situation where they’re great but still somehow overrated.  Reminds me of a better version of last years dolphins where all their real damage is done blowing out bad teams and they look like a good football team and not some unbelievable world beater against the better teams in the league 

 

I think that ravens offense with their bunch of threats at tight end and qb that can run on top of Derrick Henry was a tougher matchup for us.  If we weren’t comically injured in that one that’s probably a one score loss
