Watching it live, it felt like the chiefs were unsure if they were supposed to let him score once he had the first. Was a strange play.

Of course with Bass's issues on PAT's if he misses it's still a one score game.  Thankfully he made the PAT and two scores is a bit tougher assignment in the 2 minute drill.

Crazy to think that with all the players we lost in the off-season that this is the best version of the Bills in the Josh Allen era with a 9-2 record for the first time since 1992.

This has been one hell of a coaching job by McDermott, Babich and Brady.

I LOVE the fact that Babich was not afraid to go man-to-man on 3rd downs and come after Mahomes...made him very uncomfortable and got home numerous times.

Only allowing 260 yards to the Chiefs and holding Mahomes under 200 yards passing is quite an accomplishment.

Say what you will about McD. But he does a great job scheming against QBs. QBs in particular who aren’t elite. And QBs who aren’t familiar with the Bills (a las NFC QBs). Outside of Burrow, Mahomes and Lamar, I can’t think of a single QB who has carved us up.

I think we feast on the niners. I also think the lions is a tight game, but we end up beating them.

Babich is the DC now...I think him being willing to not be afraid of Mahomes on 3rd down and switch to man to man quite often in those situations and come after Mahomes paid huge dividends. He looked discombobulated for much of the game and unsure.

One thing I never hear talked about enough nationally is the McDermott and Reid relationship and rivalry.

National media always makes it about Allen vs Mahomes but the McDermott vs Reid matchup is also very juicy. It just doesn’t get national coverage. I don’t know why.

Do they forget that Reid gave McDermott his first job in the NFL when he wasn’t even 30 years old. McDermott was with him for 10+ years.

I don’t know, it just seems like this is one of the more interesting coaching rivalries in NFL history that never gets talked about.

The Chiefs wouldn't assume an extra point miss more than they would assume being behind 2 scores.

They didn't want Josh to score but once that locomotive gets up to speed, LBs and DBs seem to shy away from contact.

No other QB in the game has this effect on defenders.

Main coverage of the game today is:

1) chiefs will use the loss as fuel

2) Bills still need to beat the chiefs in the playoffs

you would think there would be a little praise for the bills just winning a well-played game against the best team in the league.

Just rewatched it multiple times. They definitely didn’t let him score. Was an amazing play, highly rewatchable. Torrence owned jones.

I've already praised McD and the coaching staff for yesterday's performance, but this isnt all true. He's struggled mightily against good AND bad QBs. Especially looking at last season as DC when we got beat by the likes of Trevor Lawrence, and even guys like Easton Stick had their best day against us. Zach WIlson beat us a couple of times while on the Jets. He lost to Mac Jones too. A struggling Broncos Russell Wilson has his best day against us last year.

When McD was DC we did too much "bend but (hopefully) dont break" and rely on Josh to be better than the other team.

That said, great win yesterday, and great job by the coaches. They've been on a roll and hopefully are figuring it out just at the right time.

What are you watching because ESPN has been slobbering Josh for almost 12 hours straight? And Greeny is about to get on GetUp! and do the same.

Or, the defensive backs wanted no part of tackling Allen.

There's been some high praise so far on ESPN Sportscenter and Get Up - Herm Edwards and Rex both said Josh is the best football player in the league - Woody said Josh is the best QB in the league right now (shocking sacrilige notion over St Patty) and Bills were the best team in the AFC.  Also Josh MVP discussion has really got a bump - esp with the TD run being called 'play of the year'

Was interesting also on Get Up they did a little mini-discussion throwing shade at Worthy - him stepping out both yesterday and game before - and Rex saying speed alone is not enough in the NFL.  An interesting development given the notion that KC intended to troll the Bills with lots of Worthy to show how smart they were for the trade - and even given Worthy's early success in the game the narrative this AM at least on what I've seen on ESPN is pretty much the opposite of the narrative KC set out to highlight (and not to mention the dumb outrage the media and some fans had at/after the draft "Why did stupid Buffalo give* Worthy to the Chiefs!!!!"  *of course ignore the fact that KC actualy PAID the Bills)

But they didn't play Detroit yet?

Allen has an extra gear when his speed and physicality combine.  It made an appearance on that play.

Defenders were caught off balance and he's just too difficult to deal with when he decides he wants it

The only thing matters next is the Bills getting healthy in the bye week and then taking care of business against the 49ers.  It will be yet another electric atmosphere with a nationally televised game from Highmark Stadium under the bright lights.

One funny thing on the run is I feel like when Josh saw the safety there as the last man standing between him and EZ he so badly wanted to ROCK the guy and totally blow him up, but then when the contact initiated I think he just focused on securing the ball (before getting punched in the face by the next guy)
