Anyone else feel like Romo was really going for KC today?

He is usually pretty neutral with bills vs chiefs/josh vs Mahomes, but today it's like he was really trying to prove: "Josh is really good but he's not Mahomes"

My friend said it’s only 1 game and Josh will wet himself in the playoffs!

I can’t stand Romo - he couldn't stop gushing over the Chiefs

I don't mind Romo, and I think he generally slobbers all over all the QBs and today he had QB1 and QB2 so at least he had reasons

I mean I think a part of it was that he wanted to see KC do something to keep the game going, he was there for the Bills-KC divisional coin flip game, so now he's like a junkie trying to get his fix and this game started to resemble that one too much and he felt the itch.

Anyone else see Drue Tranquill punch Josh in the face on the TD run? It's right when he goes into the end zone. Pretty sure he was trying for the ball and Allen went down but damn, two weeks in a row Allen getting punched.

Romo seemed good like his first season as a commentator. His comments seemed like a QB calling a game.. now he just slobbers everywhere.

This. You only go down if you can ice it. With the two minute warning and KC having three timeouts you take the chance to go up two scores.

 

You never know if there will be a fumble or and interception on the next play.

Ya those are fair points. 
 

Even Before that though, he just seemed to pin point when Josh should have done something else with the ball, and couldn't stop gushing over Mahomes when he made fairly routine plays

Last week showed that punching Allen is legal. Until somebody actually gets called for it I expect players to be uber aggressive on Allen moving forward.

Just my luck to be seated beside what seemed to be the biggest wanker mouthpiece in the whole of Buffalo. Spoilt the game for me on top of the result.

no, not at all.

 

The whole broadcast needs to relax.  They call every play like its some historical moment instead of just letting the game breathe.  It gets tiring after awhile.  We all know Allen and Mahomes are unicorns.  It doesn't need to be stated every play.

 

Madden used to do that with favre and it was always completely un needed within the broadcast of a regular season game.

I usually like romo and I think he usually gives Josh his props.

But he seemed one sided when it came to Mahomes/Josh today and was really cheering for a "great Patrick Mahomes" comeback

Fair enough though I haven't been watching the Chiefs but it feels like this was probably one of the best games Mahomes has had all season so that probably didn't help.

You know, #1 seed, isn’t crazy. Chiefs have some tough games left - Broncos, Chargers, Texans, Steelers.  I’m guessing 14 - 3 gives us #1 seed.  Like in the Godfather Part II, when Michael was discussing assassinating Hyman Roth. “Difficult, not impossible.”

Dude got fined, but yes, no excuse for it not being called.  Especially last week when it was multiple punches.  If you're the zebras and somehow don't see that on the ball carrier, what the heck are you looking at?
