we need to form an entirely ty lineup.

tyreek, tyquan, tyrod, wearing bow ties, flying tie fighters, playing for the tie, games in Thailand, broadcasted in Times Square.

I think he was over drafted.  Easy to say, I know, since he never really panned out for NE.  Though fast, he was not generally regarded that highly in the pre-draft process.  Kick the tires?  Yeah sure, but don't expect the next Tyreek Hill.

Kick the tires for sure. There is that Dave Aranda connection as well. Sometimes guys like this hit at their second spot where there is no draft pedigree pressure. Fast, slight of build,  but interesting buy low.

Obviously not the next Hill, he’s too tall, he’s basically Chase!   Ok, back to the real world, if you can’t crack the Patriots WR core, I don’t have a lot of hope.   I’d be interested in bringing Claypool back if they really feel a “need” at WR.

The Patriots don't exactly have what you would call a franchise QB over there, nor really a good offense. Like others have said, it wouldn't hurt to give him a shot

They also have arguably the least talented WR core in the NFL, if you can’t at least get a few opportunities… I don’t have a lot of optimism.  I’m not saying it’s 100% sure he’s done, but with the physical tools he has and the complete lack of anything, don’t expect miracles.

Didn't the bills want to draft him? And then traded back to get Cook once he was taken?

Not sure if I'm mistaking him for another player

I don't remember that story but if its true expect them to have some interest. Beane has done it a few times gone back to guys he liked at the draft who didn't pan out elsewhere.

Not sure they'd claim him because they'd have to put him on the 53. But if he makes it through waivers then I'd imagine the Bills might offer him a PS spot.

Yea me too. I thought he was a day 3 guy.

Decades ago, this kid from Iowa with an impressive bushy black beard joined my 'high level' flag football team as a receiver.  He had been a championship sprinter in high school and was blazing fast.  But his speed was all straight-line.  Weirdly, to cut he'd slow down to something like half-speed and then still perform a wide badly rounded cut.  As much as we tried to teach him, we could never get him to run sharp routes.  On top of that, his hands were carved from stone.

Once in a while, we'd trot him onto the field to run past all the opposing DBs just to force them to play a little deeper.  But he never caught a single pass.

I get the temptation but NFL speed doesn't make you an NFL receiver.

There was a run on receivers starting with Thornton. George Pickens, Alec Pierce, I think Sky Moore then the Bills trade back twice.

It would be interesting because they already added Lewis Cine as a formerly highly drafted throw away guy from that draft.

It couldn't do any harm to bring him in for a try out and if he doesn't do it for the team then let him walk out the same door he came in .
