I will be getting on a plane about two hours from now. A couple things I do not expect to think or say nor do I expectanyone around me to be think or say: 1. I don’t feel good about getting on this plane because they have not notified the next of kin yet. 2. I feel better about getting on this plane now that they have notified the next of kin I get that you want to defend your over-punctuation regarding next of kin. But to think clearing that hurdle is going to make people feel better as they fly today is really odd.

If you think people aren't concerned about flying after a crash, you're wrong. My point was that once the families were notified, more details, that could alleviate fears, were supposed to be shared.

Do you really think additional detail 16 hours after the crash will alleviate that? What additional detail could possibly do that? Feel free to hypothesize. It has zero to do with next of kin notifications. I just found your “why haven’t next of kin been notified????” to be a bit much. You have now quadrupled down on the original post. Carry on.

It was also strange that at noon today, they were still trying to notify next of kin. I'm sure there could be reasons, but it's certainly strange. If they knew the cause of the crash, and told people, that would restore confidence. Safe travels to you.

As a mouthpiece for the "obliterate the nuclear family" party, you of all people should know it might take days to notify the next of kin. 0 political points scored today; go suck an egg.

How strange is it in comparison to other disasters? Neither of us the answer to that. Perhaps there are established protocols to follow? Next of kin notification is not the story today.

What numnuttz SHO isn't getting is that it would be a massive disservice to the family if that "took days". The sooner the military gets NOK information out to them, the sooner other military families can breathe easy.

Earlier it was to assuage those brave people, like myself, getting on planes today. Now it’s about the grieving families. Peace be with them. Next of kin notification is not the story today no matter how much punctuation we use!!!!
