freester Posted November 15 Posted November 15 We are driving in from Toronto at about 7:30 am to go to Highmark on Sunday. What bridge should we take to minimize traffic? 1 Quote
AlCowlingsTaxiService Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Visit the US Customs and border security website. They have current crossing times for all three international bridges 3 1 Quote

What bridge should we take to minimize traffic? For a 4:25 kickoff? Any bridge will be fine, but the Peace Bridge should be best. Unless you already know where you are parking you might be leaving too early for the lots to be open. 1 Quote

Will definite be using that in the future! 3 minutes ago, GottaRun said: For a 4:25 kickoff? Any bridge will be fine, but the Peace Bridge should be best. Tailgating will easily be in effect by the time they get to Buffalo. 1 Quote
Breakout Squad Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Leaving Toronto, getting to the border or arriving at 7:30? I have always taken the Peace Bridge going to and from Toronto. Never had an opportunity to take another bridge. Safe travels! 1 Quote

djp14150 Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Easiest bridge would be Lewiston/ queenston I-190 bridge That feeds I-190 directly. And an expressway/ expressway connection whirlpool and rainbow bridges are very local road bridges peace bridge takesvyou into buffalo and thrn you have to navigate your directions 2 Quote

Billsatlastin2018 Posted November 15 Posted November 15 IF, ALL of you have NEXUS, the Whirlpool is the most efficient. I crossed in less than 1.5 minutes, including questioning, today and Wednesday. However, that does raise the issue of the Grand Island auto toll, while you’re getting to Exit 7 & NY-5 to Milestrip. Quote

Tailgating will easily be in effect by the time they get to Buffalo. I leave from Burlington, depends on where they are in Toronto but it shouldn't be anywhere near 3 hours at 7:30am. I typically take 90 minutes (with Nexus) to get to the stadium and then 20 - 30 minutes sitting in traffic waiting to park. I stick to the Peace Bridge most of the time but I did use Lewiston last game and it was fairly quick. I avoid the Whirlpool because of the time going through town and lack of duty free and washrooms (hey I'm older) Quote

The times I’ve gone there have been at/or around commuting times. Quote

shane nelson Posted Saturday at 01:23 PM Posted Saturday at 01:23 PM Use WAZE, it will always give you the best path, i tended to use the Queenston bridge, but my reference point is old Quote
vanhalen26 Posted Saturday at 01:52 PM Posted Saturday at 01:52 PM Take the website with a grain of salt. We picked Lewiston for going home and it said no wait, but it was a wall of cars when we arrived. But as for your question, for a 1pm game, you will see a line up at 9am at the border maybe 20 cars deep. Go across at 8am and it’s clear sailing. For this later start, I’d still expect a delay at 9am but I’d guess it’ll be modest. 1 Quote
Draconator Posted Saturday at 06:58 PM Posted Saturday at 06:58 PM This won't help for tomorrow, but if you plan on being a regular at Bills games, get a NEXUS card and take the Whirlpool Bridge. That's for NEXUS card holders only, and every time I've taken it, zero wait times. Quote
