Also, my fundamental problem with watching a lot of womens boxing is that they have no power. A lot of the tension of boxing is knowing that the whole fight can turn on one punch, just like the men's fight before it did. Taylor couldn't hurt Serrano at all apart from repeatedly headbutting and Serrano is the smaller fighter who came up in weight class. Taylor's only got 6KOs in her whole career. Technique and hand speed is nice and everything, but that's Olympic boxing. Professional boxing (IMO) isn't about the points. It's about doing damage. You earn the points via the damage, not just successfully touching the other person a bunch of times. I'd watch Serrano fight again. I wouldn't watch Taylor. To each their own though.
