Is it really that important to trot out your best wideout in a cast? Is it worth the risk of further injury? It feels strange having to point this out. what’s the change in risk at his current state? Eastport bills Posted November 16 Posted November 16 Cooper has to prove his ability to be a winning ball player. The fact that he has been unceremoniously bounced out of 2 teams in 3 years indicates his commitment to team success is not in his DNA. His talent is unquestioned but he seems reluctant to become part of unified movement, with his ultimate departure a given. Lets see how he tries to play through injury this week. 1 2 1 2 Quote

If I had to take a wild guess, I'd say he fractured that little bone on the outside of your wrist. I swear half of all ballplayers crack that one at some time in their life. 1 1 Quote

Where do people come up with crap like this? He was bounced in Dallas because at the time they seemed on paper to have a log jam at WR. He was bounced from Cleveland because the team is in the crapper and they saw an opportunity to get a pick next year to help them build. Nothing more has ever been a reported issue that I'm aware of. 2 3 2 Quote

But if you think he doesn’t drop a lot of passes then you don’t know anything about him. I would rather see them get him fully healthy for the post season than rush him out there in a cast. The hack job is highlighting one suspect statistic. If you think A Coopers only impact is on catching the ball then you are underestimating his influence on the game. The table is set for Shakir to go to work. Playing or not playing in week 11 has very little impact on his health for the playoffs- almost two months later for a wrist injury. Cooper's playing is significant. It helps the team in freeing up Shakir and Knox. It helps as a top tier veteran, to show by example, that this game is important (something that we had lost the second half with Diggs - taking himself out of key third downs). Cooper is increasing his odds of receiving an offer from the Bills because this is the type of behavior that is needed and rewarded. So, no disrespect but I have a hard time understanding the rational that one would be on the fence about Cooper's playing because he had a poor prior rating on a subjective drop statistic. Cooper's playing has so much more significance than that. It's great news...period. That's how you should feel. 3 2 Quote

Oakland made him the 4th overall pick and moved him quickly to Dallas who gave up a 1st rounder for him. Then CeeDee Lamb fell in their lap and Dallas parted company with him. Cleveland got 2 straight big production years out of him and after DeSean’s dumpster fire killed the team, they offload Cooper for a 3rd. To me he seems like a perpetual gunslinger for rental. Call me when he says he wants to be a Bill for the future. Quote

jimmy10 Posted November 16 Posted November 16 You guys don’t get it. Cooper just doesn’t have that killer instinct man. He’s weak. Now excuse me while I pull a groin muscle getting off the couch to get my uber eats cheeseburgers. 1 Quote
Pete Posted November 16 Posted November 16 It’s a pain tolerance wrist issue. Dr Kyle, on Joe Marino, goes into great detail discussing injury proximity, and problems it presents when catching a Josh Allen laser. If Cooper plays, and catches passes, I will be super impressed with Amari’s toughness. Quote

They gave up nothing for him and got 2 big years of production. After setting their franchise back 10 years with the laughable Watson contract, Cooper was someone the GM could take credit for. Unfortunately when the season imploded Coop was a goner because his production with Watson declined and he still had value. Quote

No, that's getting valuable picks back for a guy they weren't able to afford to sign. Quote
