That isn't how injuries work I'm afraid. His wrist is hurting now. Not in 5 weeks.

The Bills have a plan for 5 weeks from now:

(not sure if you're old enough to get this)

Just heard kc's fg kicker is out. How ironic would it be if kc lost on a missed fg? 😬

No. The way KC is going this year, Mahomes is going to kick a 60 yarder for the win.

I agree the 1 seed is doubtful even if we win this weekend, but I think this game could ultimately decide the 2 seed. We need to keep a full game ahead of the Ravens and that is an outcome worth fighting for.

I'd rather have the 3 seed and go to Baltimore if it meant avoiding the Bengals.

Repeat after me Gunner:

We are going to win this game. We are going to take the 1 seed. It is going to happen.

We need to manifest this and I can’t do it alone 😂

I think fans manifesting it is not really possible. Now, the players and coaches, they can have an impact with things like that.

And he can play through the pain now and it will have no affect on what happens in 5 weeks.

Maybe he can, maybe he can't. Maybe he re-injures it and it DOES affect whether he can play in three weeks.

It's the greatest soccer (errr, sorry.... football) movie of all time!

Victory

(The pic was the starting goalkeeper volunteering to have his arm broken so he can be replaced by an American officer "in charge" of the escape)

Close.

It would be Mahomes breaking the NFL record and hitting a 65 yarder.

Into a 20 mph wind.

A football axiom I find relatively accurate: if you aren't getting better, you're getting worse.

Simon, that’s similar axiom to competitive high end sales.  I’ve had VP’s made that comment to us over and over again.  Football players are similar as high end highly competitive sales is never ending competition.

I had a feeling McD would use this strategy on Cooper to get him out there.  They’ll do their best to protect him as we’ll need more for the 49ers and Lions.  Once Coleman is back, they can pitch count him for the Cheats twice and Jests.  We need Cooper on full tilt for the above tough games coming up.

I don’t expect a lot from him Sunday, but we’re down bodies.

In a way, yes. He’s a free agent next year. The Bills are unlikely to sign him. So he has a lot of personal incentive to not further injure himself or be at less than his capability because it will

cost him in his next contract. As it is, his value is declining.

Agreed, but if I'm his agent,  I'd encourage him to get back asap, if he has this reputation floating around,  it'll only decrease his value in FA

Great flick right there!  Vive' le resistance! The fact they went back out there when escape was right there in their face.

Terrible take.  First, who says the Bills are unlikely to sign him?  He has a trial period with the Bills and they both get to see if they match.

Secondly, even if he injures himself more, he will have time to recover prior to being a FA.

Third, he will be playing in one of the marquee regular season games.  In front of a National audience.  With a cast on his wrist.  You don't think the announcers will talk about and show close-ups of that?  Anything positive A Cooper does will be made out to be heroic.  Very little downside.
