Last week being a primary example as 80% or more of time they lose to Denver. Count in endless other 1 score games they've been in. Sure they're undefeated but they haven't been world beaters. Oh they certainly could. Their end of year schedule makes it possible that they lose 2 of their last 3 (Houston, @ Pitt 4 days later and @ Denver). Its just not likely. Hence my longshot statement. A longshot is still a shot though. Tampa not going for 2 and Denver getting a kick blocked hurt us as either game could have tacked a loss on the Chiefs. 1 Quote

Chiefs have bern very lucky….. all of their games have been one score games late in the 3rd or later. Thise are small margin games where a play here or there make a big difference baltimore got 3 feet down in the last pkay thry go foe 2 and win TB should have gone for 2 late in game after the TD KC only blocks that kick less than 10% of the time these are just late in the game. there were plays from other games Atlanta had ball and TD for the lead late Cincinati game had its moments 49ers had ball in the 4th down 5 in KC end of field. chargers, vegas, and Saints were close games into late 3rd where teams lost had chances to take the lead. BillsFanForever19 Posted November 14 Posted November 14 (edited) This is exactly why you treat this week with no greater urgency than any other game. This is not a must win situation. If people are banged up, give them this week off. With the bye coming up, it gives them at least 2.5 weeks before they hit the Practice field. More so if they didn't play in the Colts game. We as a fan base get made fun of for treating the annual regular season game against the Chiefs as our 'Super Bowl'. We've won this game multiple times. In the end, it never mattered. Make sure the team is healthy when it matters by not pushing guys out there this week that are under 100%. The rest of the season and the Playoffs matter more than just 1 single game with the Chiefs. Bud, face the fears head on as Chiefs can’t keep throwing up we can’t beat them in the playoffs. Honestly, what I really want is beating both the Ravens in the divisional RD. and the Chiefs in the AFCCG. Face the fears brother. Then they can’t say, well the ravens crushed us in the regular season, and we swept the Chiefs. We are already a better team than when we faced the Ravens. 1 Quote

Warcodered Posted November 14 Posted November 14 I mean not to say we should take our foot off the gas or anything, because obviously don't, but I wouldn't be surprised if we've already won enough games to win the division just waiting on a couple more losses from other division teams and it's a done deal. Steptide Posted November 14 Posted November 14 (edited) Dolphins remaining schedule is pretty cake minus a game or 2. While I think Miami is in too big of a hole, I think they will actually finish with a decent record Edited November 14 by Steptide 1 Quote

I just want the Bills to reach - and win- the Superbowl. If that means getting a break or two along the way with regards to opponents , then so be it. 2 1 Quote
HardyBoy Posted November 15 Posted November 15 It's realistically possible the bills go 0-4 over the next five weeks and the dolphins can beat all those teams and they'd be tied in the loss column with a half game head to head. Not saying I think it's going to happen, but it's very much in the realm of possible...it also wouldn't necessarily be a massive meltdown for the Bills to lose against the chiefs, 49ers, rams, lions if they are all close games and both teams play well and the ball just bounces funny four times. 1 1 Quote

Why wouldn’t we want that? I hear you but I like the adage if you want to be the best you have to beat the best. So if we play KC in the playoffs, so be it. Quote

The real question is to what degree the Bills value playoff seeding above player health. With 8 weeks and 7 games remaining in the regular season it'll be interesting to see how McBeane plays this. It's not a bad thing when our rivals win, and hurt their draft position Only games I want ANY AFCE team to lose for the rest of the season are the two times the Bills play the Patriots. I know they'll have to play each other a couple more times, and I think I'd prefer those matchups end in ties tbh. 7 hours ago, machine gun kelly said: SoCal, that sounds like you’re afraid to face the Chiefs in the playoffs. What HAPPENS is what actually matters. Win a SB by any means necessary. If other teams help out along the way, great. If luck lines up to favor the Bills, great. Circumstances be damned. Just win 3-4 games in a row when it matters most. Quote

GASabresIUFan Posted November 15 Posted November 15 (edited) I was contemplating the Bills playoff situation and I came away with the realization that the Bills need 2 wins and 1 more loss by each of the other divisional teams to clinch the division. The Bills are 3-0 in the division with a 5 game lead in the win column with 7-8 games to go. Miami, with 8 games left, has lost 2 to the Bills and if they win out the max they can have is 11 wins. When they lose one, even if both teams finish 10-7, the Bills own the tiebreaker. The best the Jets and Pats can do is 10-7. For the Pats to get there, they'd need to win out including 2 games against the Bills. Odds of that happening are about zero. The Jets can also finish 10-7, but again they'd have to win out including beating the Bills in Buffalo in week 17. That's not happening either. I'm admittedly an optimist about this Bills team and I think they'll beat both KC and SF over the next 3 weeks and the SF win will essentially clinch the division as Mia, NY and NE will have at least 1 loss over the next 3 weeks. We should probably be rooting for Indy. They play the Jets and Pats over the next 2 weeks. Edited November 15 by GASabresIUFan Quote

The #1 seed is what we all want heading into the playoffs. What I was getting at was if we end up playing KC in the playoffs so be it. We still will have to beat some very good teams and beating the best is fine. 1 Quote

No, always remember that we’re just fans. We aren’t actually playing the games. This far into the season I guess I’m assuming that the Chiefs are going to get the #1 seed (even if we beat them). So if that’s true I’d rather get the 2 seed and see the Ravens knock them off the top in the playoffs so we’d host the championship game….against someone; most likely the Ravens Quote
TrentEdwardsCheckDownOn4th Posted November 15 Posted November 15 If the bills are out of the running for the #1 seed and have the divison locked up then I want them to rest everyone. I don't care if it's for 3 weeks! McDermott and allen will have them ready regardless of rust. Could you imagine this team with a month off and completely healthy. Quote
